Now if he gets only 7 but is aggressively taking shots, like 18-22 shots, then you are going to just have to live with that but it wasn't just the lack of point production, it was the lack of aggression which he said was due to all the foul calls sort of taking him out of his game....

Mavs fan here. I tipped my hat to PG and Harden yesterday. They were unguardable yesterday. The degree of difficulty both hit those threes were crazy. They also made timely shot after timely shot after Irving went berserk. I don’t know who’s going to win this series now. With that said though, we coming to bust that ass in LA Wednesday, Mavs in 6 😅

Russ was plus 17 in his first 5 minutes of play. That lead helped us win the game. Harden and PG brought us home. Great win!

Mavs fans keep saying that PG and Harden won’t have another spectacular game from the 3 point line. And they might be right. But we have an excellent supporting cast and I think they will come through at home on game 5. If things don’t go Lukas way, I’m predicting a meltdown and possible ejection.

The Steve Nash floater is beautiful and almost impossible to to block he just needs to make it a staple of his offense. The thing is the defense is so scared of hardens passing lob ability so they don’t know what to do once he starts his floating shot motion
As Mavs fan, this loss hurt, I knew we'd come back and really thought we'd go 3-1 but fuck, Harden and PG came through. I think Mavs go 4-0 if they don't get down in the first, as long as we don't get down from now on, we win.

I'm not sure how much of it to place on Luka's knee injury and how much to place on some good Clipper defense but it is weird to see Luka not just figure it out and dominate. His superpower has been consistency night after night. We've already seen with Kahwi, its admirable if you want to play through the pain, but you have to be healthy enough to not be a liability. Still expecting a break out explosion.
Maybe after this game we can stop all of the Theis riding. Plumdog Gazillionaire absolutely dominated the start of the 4th qtr.

I'm sorry but Coach Lue is being stubborn by not playing Theis or Tucker in this series.
He and Tucker can actually both defend somewhat on the perimeter, at least as well as Zu and Plum out there on switches and both can pull defenders a little bit out of the lane to create more space for drivers like Harden, PG, Terrance, Russ, and Norm....
Games one and four should have been clear blowout victories for The Clippers and game 3 could have also used some non-Kawhi small ball minutes....
Give Big Plum credit for his excellent play in game four but let's not lose sight of the fact that Theis and Tucker can help and with Kawhi likely out of this entire series now, it just makes sense to bump the rotation up a bit.
These last three games Coach Lue should add Theis and Tucker into his rotations as a changeup.....
Especially if the team gets off to a strong start and Coach Kidd immediately goes to either Lively or Kleber at the 5.....
Zu's advantage has been over Gafford.
When Gafford comes off the floor, so should Zu.
If it's Lively, bring in Theis and force him to come defend on the perimeter....
If it's Kleber, maybe try Plumlee and attack inside....but personally i would use either Theis or Tucker because i want people that are guarding the perimeter more than i want rim protection....
In games one and four Coach Kidd has made a counter and Coach Lue has stuck to his gameplan...
I know it resulted in two wins so hard to quibble but in both instances he allowed The Mavs to get back into the games when they should have been dead in the water by the end of the 3rd qtr....
I don't think anyone is arguing for Theis minutes because he's great or better than Plumlee(well i have seen some arguments that say he is better, but i don't agree with that)

The team as a whole for clippers is a way better team than the mavs even w/o Kawhi!! The numbers and rankings in all categories all season long are in clippers favor!! This is the reason they got harden bc they knew there was a good chance that Kawhi would get injured. The clippers knew this from the beginning . Why you think the clippers figured it out w/o Kawhi that quick. That 7-2 stretch at the end beating good teams was the proof in the pudding. I haven't seen refs cheat so much for anyone else than LeFakers all season, if not in years. League FO made a stinking obvious choice at halftime of Game 1 to help Mavs along, being the only TX playoff team.
Yea, i didn't understand the media obsession with The Mavs before the series started so i went to look at their post trade run.
I just didn't see a dominant type team.
Respectfully they did a great job against winning teams but it was marginal(9-7)
Clearly they are defending better but can we be honest here?
The Clippers by strategy are "choosing" to play one way.
They are purposefully playing more half court basketball.
They are playing James Harden 40+ mins per game so there are really no pace minutes for The Clippers so far....they are keeping a big on the floor for nearly the full 48 minutes....
They have not played with a small ball five at all(no Theis or Tucker at the 5)
Almost no Russ at the pg spot or Bones.
So far Coach Lue has not been "forced" to use his change up....
The Clippers still have another option whereas The Mavs have sort of exhausted all their different possible looks.
They've used Gafford, Lively, and Kleber at the 5 with only marginal success.
The Clippers are better and still haven't tried small ball for more speed.....

Rus missing a few shots doesn't mean he was out of control at all. He was good in the fourth. The commentators of the game were talking about his great impact on the game. But you want to cite Twitter casuals that he was sucking and almost cost them the game. Rus is sacrificing his game and doing the dirty work.

Don't put us all into one group I just love the NBA and have for 25 years plus. I cried when Harden left Philadelphia and lost months of sleep. So I just followed him here to LA and I love Paul G and most of all the other clippers as well. Watched every single game basically and know the team. Clippers are deep as hell and that's what I first noticed. Philadelphia never deserved Harden and glad he's happy and balling the fuck out. Worst fanbase ever - Philly Sixers. Just horrific.

There's no rules either not that I have an excuse. Philly is my team and what happened was that Harden could never be my favorite player on a different team.
Then he joined Philly and I was obsessed with every single thing that happened. Because I had him before as a player that I was following deeply but always played somewhere else, then he joins my squad and boom.
So yeah that's how it happened. No way I'd be a Stan as you say without him coming to my favorite squad first if that makes sense.

Now the 7 games series is probable, making the series very, very exciting.
Who will fold first:
- Luka with his unsustainable usage rate,
- Playoff P with his history of hiding behind Kawhi,
- Harden with his playoff luggage...
Hopefully Kawhi gets ok, it's a shame not having the best ( when fully healthy) American playoff player.

The team is getting solid offensive production from Big Zu and we don't need much from Plumlee to be honest, just solid backup minutes since he is the choice over Theis or Tucker.
I'm not sure what's going on with The Clippers in transition?
They aren't getting many opportunities because they are mostly playing slow but why is everyone getting blocked from behind on transition drives?
I don't think one foul has been called in those instances and i'm ok with that because i blame the player attacking the basket....
Those 2 to 8 easy pts(if there are 1 to 4 transition opportunities per game) are super critical....
So i am sure Mavs fans believe their players can do much better but as a person rooting for The Clippers to win a title this season, i am seeing a stronger possibility for The Clippers to play better collectively.
We haven't even really seen an explosive Norm or Russ game yet.....
