I love the quilt! The colors are fantastic. I purchased some garments at a garage sale that was held by African immigrants and the garments were in the fantastic prints similar to yours. I've been upcycling them and making pouches and bags with them and I like your idea of making hexie flowers with them. I think I'll applique some on the fronts of tote bags. I need to find the fabric first. I just moved and it will require a search. LOL. Thanks for your inspirations!

That looks awesome Amanda. I would not have thought to use strong tribal prints in a hexie flower quilt. Happy days.
My blade did that too. I’m assuming, from the large amount of rain we had in Victoria over Christmas. It still cuts, so 🤷♀️
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking… This past summer has been so humid, so maybe that’s contributed to it. But like you, I thought it still cuts really well so she’ll be right! 😁
