      Amen.
And analytical, committed, honest, real, effective. A blessing.

Nice exchange & interview. Thank you for providing a platform for Pete to explain some of the challenges that come with his department. Since civics classes are obsolete, it would be beneficial for other government leaders to provide an overview of their responsibilities. It offers us a “so…that’s where my tax dollars are going..!😊

Speaking of tech, there are audio issues in this video. The main content has a really low level, so the introductory voice at a strong level blasts out if the overall volume is raised to understand the discussions. The lip synch is noticeably off from camera angle to camera angle. (Thanks for fixing the mic problem with Ethan Mollick interview!) There are also mic bumps and other noise that could be cleaned out in post.

He must be getting some real kickbacks from allowing all of this amtrak "revamping" to continue. The crazy amount of taxpayer funds spent and never paid back in cities across the US to get buildings ready to lease and sell is BIG BUCKS FOR REAL ESTATE companies. BILLIONS OF TAXPAYER FUNDS!! And waiting for an amtrak or greyhound is still the most uncomfortable experience. Then companies take over and someone gain ownership of public land. So weird. And look at the train tracks that are just now being repaired? None of this money is going to transportation infrastructure. Big plans for Florida now too. Follow the money.

Now this is a public conversation of the sort that it takes to inform politics. It's never going to be much simpler.
As citizens we need to accept the challenge and be alert, listen, ask, and think... or be honest and actually ditch democracy for bread and games. If we haven't already done so!

We need a sophisticated government site with every job listed and if you can't find a job you automatically qualify for unemployment..

Yes, yes, more displaced artists to work the fracking rigs. The AI is hungry.
