City of Shoreline 2024 Juneteenth and Arts Celebration

On June 19,2024, the City of Shoreline once again welcomed the community to celebrate Juneteenth at City Hall, continuing its tradition of honoring this historic day. Organized in collaboration with Black Coffee Northwest and supported by the Port of Seattle, this year's festivities showcased the cultural vibrancy and significance of Juneteenth.
From lively performances and thought-provoking art installations to a bustling marketplace featuring local Black-owned businesses, the event offered a day filled with meaningful activities and connections. Highlights included captivating performances by the Northside Step Team, Daughters of Royalty, Sky Dio, Double Dutch Divas, and music by JHP Legacy Band. The event was Emceed by Dr. D and we invited Kevin P. Henry to share some background about the holiday.
This celebration not only commemorated Juneteenth's historical significance but also underscored the ongoing contributions of the Black community to Shoreline and beyond. Join us in reliving the magic of this special day and celebrating unity, culture, and freedom.
