If it's set in the Neo Scavenger Universe, there is a non-zero chance that you could encounter the Merga Wraith during a salvage.
hope he was kill it with a sharp wooden stick
I love this "tinkering with chinese gizmos with next to no documetation" aspect of the game, really reminds of Shenzhen I/O. Where you're given some functional device, but instead of abstracting out its controls, figuring them out is a challenge in itself.
Hypercapnia is when there's too much CO2 in your blood. Is actually very dangerous and happens a lot in diving.
Any idea how we're supposed to deal with it in the game?
@@BauthorFowler If you're in a pressure suit, you basically just run back to the ship. So try and find the most expensive things quickly, save up about 15-20k in the beginning (going to ship, taking helmet off, putting it back on, and running back into the derelict to salvage a little) and just buy and EVA suit and you won't need to worry about it.
I'm eagerly waiting for this game to hit full release but I was terrible at Neo Scavenger and this is more complex than NS was.
Yeah, I suck at that too. Half of it is my relationship with RNG...it hates me. lol
@@pbsixgun6 Mah dry bread was the only channel that helped me with Neo Scavenger, great game. This game needs a really good tutorial though it has changed a lot. Agreed, RNG sucks big ones!!
Yes, it is more complex than Neo Scavenger...but it is easier and in my opinion more playable.
I don't think it will go into full release anytime soon. There just is too much potential. But I might also be wrong and the next step might be just scaling up the universe and implementing inter-planetary travel.
@@StarlasAiko Oh yeah it's been in my wishlist for easily two years and I think it's going to be another two minimum.
@@StarlasAiko neo scanvenger was how long in development? 2012 - 2017 ? (counting the pre steam time and till the last update)
So if we apply the same to ostra nauts we shouldnt ask for release before 2026.
When the simple choice of eating instead of paying dock fees ends an entire run 😂
*Takes batteries out of the light and puts them in his coveralls hip pocket while in his bunk* 30 minutes later on the derelict "Why does my light not have charge?" *Frantically look for batteries for a good minute before checking pockets on yesterdays clothes*
Replace batteries with car keys and it's a pretty standard morning.
Damn he got two Hydra's in the first ship.
Neo-Scavenger vibes indeed. Shiny.
It is a bit unfair with the docking fees when you have no coin. The best thing to do is, before dockign again with KLEG is to keep hitting up the derelicts until you find a still-valid salvage permit and then take a cockpit and/or fusion reactor to KLEG. As you stand now, your only chance is to keep chatting up people until you befriend one enugh to get recommended to the fence.
How do you check if the permit is valid?
@@TheCommanderFluffy When the permit is selected, the option to read it is available. Compare the Expiry Date and Time with the current ingame Date and Time.
@@StarlasAiko wow! Never knew
i really love this game. it stays downloaded in my library. i hope the best for the developers.
Bins need empty wall space and (only on installation) need the floor space in front of it clear. Once installed, you can use the floor space in front of it again. Each square gives you two squares of cargo space.
Racks use up floor space, but they can be installed freestanding or even in the floor space that looks like it is already used by Bins. One square of Rack grants three squares of cargo space.
Floor Bins are installed into the floor, requiring the floor panel to be removed for it, which evacuated atmosphere. It also leaves a hole in the hull when you uninstall a Floor Bin. A single square Floor Bin grants four squares of cargo space.
so install racks then floor bins
@@lechking941 First Bins, then Racks. Fill up all the wallspace thatis not used for other utilities.
Let's see how they worked on this one!
It would have been lucrative to repair and keep the Pleasure Yacht, if the hull breach at the docking clamp is the only structural damage. Much more cargo space, just move everything from your pod into the yacht. Although, they changed the legal system concerning claiming wreckages. I don't know if it still is viable.
Can you imagine the docking fees you'd owe for 3 years of being docked? lmao
I had a good chuckle at you dragging the chair through the station 😂 I haven’t figured out how you sell salvage yet, only played far enough to have done one job after the tutorial.
Nook, after killing a cop and a port authority worker: "This didn't solve any problems."
You know Traveller?! Oh wow. Much respect. I am the only person I know who ever heard of it. Ran my adult kids through a campaign last year. Great fun.
Who knows Traveller nowadays. I have the complete set in PDF format
Hi there, I know it too. Played it like 15 years ago and in 2019. Found it in a box my father had, with some other freaking old games.
Btw the subreddit for traveller is pretty active.
This game has so much potential! and don't forget Neo Scavenger from the same game company in the same universe.
I can’t imagine the effect this will have on star field sales
I can't even register it. Null Effect.
*Starfield There, fixed it for you. 🤦♂

Once upon a time, there were two PC MegaTraveller games.
This game looks like it might be super fun when it's done.
Frustration Simulator seems like a good alternate title for this game.
Being frustrated just makes the pay-off even more worthwhile/meaningful - that's why 'patience is a virtue'. 🙄
Watching nook take the battery out of the work light at the very start 😅
I look forward to when skill training becomes available. Latest update introduced physical training to remove physical weakness and become fit and strong...we need more improvement (and degeneration) options.
Very interesting game.
You need a junk drawer...and Cespenar too. ;)
Locked doors can't be pried, unlocked doors without power can be pried. Locks can be hacked if there is power in the door.
Scrapping doors of ships you don't intend to salvage is faster.
I giggled at the moment where you arrived at the first wracked ship and didn't get your light on, since you removed the batteries in your apartment.
I couldn’t understand why he didn’t have any batteries… 😅
Light not having abtteries when you optain it? That is new. In a way...awesome. Sucks if you don't know, but once you know, it makes sense. All the adverts always say "batteries not included".
Someone said he took them out in his apartment in the beginning...
Isn't this the one where just figuring out how to dock successfully takes like an hour of practice?
Hate to say it but skill issue, it's literally just lining up things
The first generator he found has no fuel, so he is never going to make it work...
Danny devito has a cameo in this one
Any idea how to deal with stutter in this game? Elp
It's not written in Flash like their older game, right?
neo scavenger, the game that stopped working cause my old outdated laptop was to powerful. RIP
Sometimes, Nook...shakes head. Did you miss she said that if you could find someone to vouch for you that that would help? ;-p
But yeah, woulda liked just seeing the tutorial as what we saw was, um, pretty painful.
You missed two bins in your room and the room with the door that you installed the conduit into has a knife for you.
Waaaayyy too much work to do for simple tasks!
it would be so cool if this game had a coop mode. Or can you control your crew personally or they are automatic?
You can take control of crew while yourself goes off on auto. Basically, all your crew is auto, except for the one you are currently controlling.
@@StarlasAiko so if i keep pausing i can micromanage the crew if i understand it correctly. Thanks for the answer
I loved Neo Scavenger, but sadly, this game doesn't seem to be as good. I wanted this to be shiny, cap'n. 😭
Looks to have more promise and potential to me, overall. But the Neo Scavenger wasn't a big hit for me - Project Zomboid is far superior, imo. But yeah, I think I'll give this game a while to cook yet.
This game looks interesting but complex. I think I would take too long to learn the basics.
This game is a mess, feels 20 years old now and devs focus too much on modern politics and "interactions".
I really wish they would have made neo scavenger 2.
Btw, this game is in early access for 3 years and its still buggy
Games like Kenshi and Kerbal Space Program were in Early Access for years too - in fact, they were two of the very first games of the Steam Early Access program. Also, games like 7 Days To Die and Project Zomboid are STILL in EA, years later. All these games still have known bug issues (to varying degress) YET they are easily some of the most successful and well loved games that have come through Steam's EA program, so.......
@@sunnyjim1355 i am sure the people who bought games so many years ago are enjoying these games if they are alive, probably they will agree that waiting 5+ years for the games to become playable a good thing
@@Neyreyan Yes it would. In today where we have enough games to entertain people for 5 years before anything new even needs to come out.
@@mrlilhanna not really ,most games you finish in 2-3 days. The longer ones wich are rare are 1-2 weeks
neo scavenger was in early access development for how long... 6 years?
If you want to shit on ostranauts start at neo scavenger. its still buggy despite beeing finished (and amazing)
Or maybe shit on a regular released game that is buggy beyond comprehension, even after X years of patches (looking at you bethesda)
Truth said, way to many games in early access have a less playable product than ostra nauts and ditched the project after a pay out. Early access is a big risk for consumers.
However a lot more did incredible fine. Even with stupid amounts of early access.
Minecraft is technically still early access as well. And oh boy do they prioritize political correctness.
You finish games in 2-3 days. Thats cool, if this is your fulfilling playstyle. Some games are meant to last for X time. Others are open ended. Some gamers do enjoy this. Some gamers will play the same game over and over again. Some will kill an forever game. Whatever suits them is fine.
Do not apply your own playstyle to humanity. Most people can be entertained for decades with what we already have. Thats not counting in new releases. We can entertain us technically for eternity. (and btw I consume games fast as well. I just know Im not the norm)
Also little bonus, "i am sure the people who bought games so many years ago are enjoying these games if they are alive"
I do. I wont see all of them finished. Not because they wont get finished. Because I wont be lasting another decade. And I can tell you first hand: Thats fine. You get a huge shift in priority when you realize your limited existence.
