One of the male screams sounds like a dude popping off in a fighting game rather than a cry of fear or pain, and one of the female one's sounds less like suffering and more like she found her favorite purse brand at an in-store discount.

I think the moans are broken in remaster garbage, I don't remember this being a thing in original, or at least not to this degree where he moans every second.. I think I'll go check if it's less frequent there.
No, its only backstabs, the assasins were backstabbing me, the reason why you can backstab during fogwalls is because in invasions, the invader has a chance of killing host, even if they entered the fogwall
Btw, after i beat the boss, the dogs at the foggate were stuck because of programming i think. I threw a firebomb at them and then 2 seconds later, im being chased by 6 dogs and 10 bandits
@@awesomedudexx2681 well yes that's the idea, only in my experience, most hosts that one invades are panicking so hard, or are so stupid, that they keep interacting with the fog wall and repeatedly getting backstabbed until they die, never learning that "pehaps I shouldn't try it a fifth time". You did exactly as described above, but it can be forgiven due to how odd the Hollow Thief's backstab is; they jump on your back then reach around and stab you in the chest, or slit your throat, can't remember which lol.

And of course, small enemies have to take much effort to stagger you once. I have done this for an LetMeSoloHer build for ds1, using Catarina Helment alongside these equipments allow me to get the 61 poise breakpoint, which is very good for everything. For pvp it's even better because most players will battle me assuming no poise and will get comboed by my Uchigatana, because: who the hell uses Wolf Ring over armor ? is the "dumb strat" to fool the opponent.
