@@Jess_The_Phantom The soundtrack to the musical is amazing! I've been a little obsessed with it ever since I listened to it 😊 I love the storyline for the play too. Its so different than the animated movie, but I like that it fits better with the real history of the Romanovs. I kinda wish they'd make a movie with that storyline.
I want to visit Paris but we don’t have the money right now 😢 in the future, when i visit, if i love it as much as i think i do i want to move there, have three babies with my hubby, and raise them there. Its such an enchanting city from the distance I’m in love and i haven’t even visited it yet 😂
I listened to this as a little girl wishing to go to Paris one day. Fast forward 25 yrs and I finally got to go this summer. Not to mention this song was stuck in my head :)
I just watched the Broadway version of this show, and I loved it, but I was very disappointed when they cut out Dimitri's "to..her..." and replaced it with the crowd continuing on. Dimitri's part was so much better (and Derek Klena totally could've pulled it off).
Part of that I think was that this song was part of him realizing he was falling in love with Anya, so in the musical that becomes more fleshed out in “Everything to Win”, where he more stumbles over himself rather than just dropping hints. I really miss that moment, but the musical significance of ETW towards the end is really important.
I haven’t watched the Broadway version and not planning too cause I’m scared it won’t be up to my liking (I REALLY LOVE THIS MOVIE ANS THE SOUND TRACK) so reading this makes me upsety spaghetti
I hope in the broadway musical they give Dimitri more of a solo here (or right after this song because that would be a PERFECT place to show off the actors voice and just make you cry *that much more* about how sweet he is)
I love Dimitris part in this version but I understand the changes in the Broadway song. In the animated movie he is already aware of Anyas true identity, while in the musical he has yet to discover it through the song "in a crowd of thousands"
Aviator: Charles Lindburgh ("There's love in the air") Artist: Claude Monet ("The French have it down to an art" This is such a fun song. I love all the people who make cameos. I missed this film so much, I finally got my own copy as a gift last Christmas!
Adored this movie and song when I was a child. Now I'm in my thirties and visiting Paris in Feb 2022 for the first time, and the wonder I feel is similar to the feeling I got from this song!
This is probably my favorite song from this movie which is an incredibly hard decision to make because all of the music in this movie is a masterpiece but I just love this song so much! It makes me so happy! It’s so much fun and full of life and beauty. I adore it!
I experience frisson (the way I describe it is similar to the tingles people get from ASMR but rather than the tingles feeling relaxing they make me feel excited and awake) and this is one of the few songs guaranteed to give me those shivers every time I listen to it (the only other one I can think of right now is This is Me from The Greatest Showman)
Loved loved loved this song so much! Probably informed a later interest in Broadway haha. The magic and wonder of Paris is perfectly captured for the young Anastasia in this movie.
I'm 16 and a guy. I started watching this movie when I was 5 and still do to this day. I will show my childeren this movie and i hope they love like i do
+SunglassesintheRain4 this song got in my head yesterday before the attack and i listened to it a few times. It was weird for me, I never thought about France much before but now I hope they will be ok. And recover from this terrible tragedy.
+sordid queer Even more tragic is that the terrorists dared to justify such foolishness. How could you justify something as awful as this? At the very least, it comforts me to think of what sort of juicy punishment they're receiving in the afterlife.
maurice chevalier, sigmund freud, charles lindburgh, josephine baker, claude monet, isadora duncan, rodin, and gertrude stein. wow, the cameos are definitely reminding us just what year it is when all this happens.

You are correct! The powers that be are in the process of workshopping the new musical, featuring Aaron Tveit ('Catch Me If You Can' and 'Next to Normal' on Broadway, 'Les Miserables' the movie, and 'Graceland' on USA Network) as a possible Dimitri!
I really wish Dimitri had his own song or a larger part cause his part in the song is my favorite!
Summer S the song “Everything To Win” from the Broadway musical is the extended version of his part
@@Jess_The_Phantom Yeah I recently found the soundtrack to the musical and LOVE it!

People : "Paris holds the key!" Wow! So upbeat! Love it!
Demetree: "To..her..." My heart omg
it's Dimitri, btw. AND I KNOW RIGHT??? If only boys could be like that irl.
Thanks for the correction, I knew I was spelling it wrong but I couldn't find the right way.
Dimitri was a saint
+Scratchy Towel k but I just love how gracefully you took the correction thanks for being a civil commenter
Scratchy Towel seriously
This was literally on loop inside my head when I visited Paris.
Omg, I just got back! That was definitely me too.
:D

Ha, great!
Good!
You know, when listening to it on the soundtrack, this almost sounds like a stage play instead of an animated film.
The movie is kind of animated like that too. There's a lot of theatrical elements and dancing. Glad it's finally coming to Broadway next spring!
andrea p Hope they fix all the plot holes though.
Indego84 One of the reasons I adore it
They turned it into a stage play in 2019!!!
@@jcarreon1829I still understood that (July 12th,2023 and September 6th,2023 plus October 11th,2023/🙂)!
Gotta say that the animation of Dimitri in this song is incredible! Actually everything about this sequence was, but his tiny moments especially.
this song and this movie are so underrated it should be a broadway musical
What do you know....dreams do come true.
Now it is!
You totally called this!
Jordan Rosenberg that’s what I always thought and now it happened *_*
Have I got news for you pal
I listened to this as a little girl wishing to go to Paris one day. Fast forward 25 yrs and I finally got to go this summer. Not to mention this song was stuck in my head :)
How did it go?
I think Dimitri is one of the hottest animated male characters ever!

In my experience I like the songs the musical added but the songs that are in both are better in the movie

EthalaRide They're making a broadway musical about this!?!?
dea mae *made!!!! Lol. Yep!
EthalaRide totally
I was so disappointed when they cut out most of his lines in this song especially the “to her...” part :(
Don Bluth's response to Walt Disney's "Be Our Guest"....
Always reminded me more of "To be human again"
The amount of fun and joy I get from this song!!! So much!! It’s so fun and romantic. And Demetri is adorable in this song!!
This song is gorgeous, badass, heartwarming, romantic and magical.
I just want Dimitri to sing to me.
Omg the most relatable thing ever said
I honestly prefer this song in the movie than the musical. They cut out Dmitry's "to her" and I'm so salty about that!
Dimitri : You’ll be gone that’s the end
Me: 😭😭😩❤️❤️❤️
