Hey guys, A great video. Doing a service on your vw this time of year is probably a great idea. Especially if it's been parked up over the winter months. So, thanks for showing how it's done. Happy New Year to everyone ✌️ Peace from Melbourne/Pakenham.
Never thought of it before but along with V W witch British car model hold's the record of longevity of being built with the original design with the only major difference being engen capacity until the manufacturer went bankrupt and the design was bought by another major German manufacturer how for safety had to change the width of the vehicle. Interesting for being a redesign of the previous model of the British industry leader until the late 70's early 80's? Answer of course Mini it's predersesor being the Moris minor/Traveller and later on sporning the Morris/Rover Metro.
Such a beautiful beetle! Sucks about the noise. Hard to tell from the video but it’s not valve train as it comes and goes. Kinda sounds like a wrist pin or rod bearing. I know you guys will get it sorted out properly 🤙
Hey mate, Yes, that's exactly how I look when you ruin my present 😂 All joking aside, really a great beetle and good work so far. It happens every now and then that the small seal leaks. The sound could be so many things. We already had a loose screw that made similar noises. Good luck finding it. Greetings Mark Oh yes, such cover images really work...
Great video mate, well jealous of that torque wrench buddy. I'm going to say that rattle is a stuck exhausted inlet valve, might account for the dirty oil. Just saying lols
Great car! Pity about the tappety tap. The way it comes and goes does sound like a rod bearing to be honest. If it was there all of the time I’d say piston slap.
Oooooo, love a mystery! Was the noise there before you laid your paws on it? If not, im guessing the fan housing needs to be aligned after the R&R....cant wait to find out and learn from the Maestro's ✌️
Make sure they are not running it too fast on the highway. that will cause leaks from EVERYWHERE....Builds up crankcase pressure and leaks out of every orifice
Not gonna guess now that I know the motor's pulled down.
Great to see the young ones becoming VW people.
Need them to keep the passion going.
yep shes apart and waiting for parts ;) It will get the demop treatment too :)
Bonus, forgot it was Friday!
A new Demop video for the holidays
That’s a nice looking beetle,
Lucky to find an old one so original
Really enjoyed that mate, looking forward to part 2. Elle's crying out for a nice mild 1776 😂

@@HubertusSchaper yes we did find the problem too 😉
@@DemopVWgarage Nice.👍🏻
That noise is like a rod bearing, wrist pin. or it can be the fuel pump rod that is worn down.
A great video. and happy holiday's.
Part 2 shows the problem 😉😁

@@IAm1InTheIAm it was there when claire bought it.
That noise is a vw bug shouting fix me😂
Looks like it would use more oil than fuel. I hope you were successful in reversing that.
@@dalewyatt1321 part 2 coming soon 😁
There’s a percussion player in the backseat?
I'll go with a wild card and say the noise is a baffle in the muffler that's come unwelded.

Shes off the road now, and motors in half😉
@@DemopVWgarage Well there's a clue.
Head stud?
@@Hermanwagen find out very soon 😉
My dad, who is brilliant, thinks the noise is coming from the tailpipes.
hahahaha
