I have never had sleep paralysis but do have sleep apnea. I can tell you it doesn't sound bad as a disease but it can create a lot of serious problems when you don't sleep well. To maintain mental and physical health you need a good restful sleep at least 3-4 nights a week or you will go downhill fast! Ahh I did learn something from this lesson! I would have appreciated more information about how sleep became a thing. At what stage of life complexity does sleep exist? Bacteria, no. Insects? And there must have been a point where brains ran poorly but constantly. What was the evolutionary situation that led to two necessary levels of brain function? Stuff like that.

I've got bad news for you kiddos. Someday you'll get to an age where you'll wake up every morning and you DON'T feel restored. You feel worse than when you went to bed. I'm sure the age is different depending on the person but it gets us all if we're lucky and live long enough. About a year ago I woke up and felt great! All it did was remind me I used to feel like that every morning (unless I was bad boy the night before). Hasn't happened since. It's still worth it though... living.😉
