for those who don’t know, there was a private birthday party for a little kid at Chuck E. Cheese. This mother let her daughter just run in there and get Chuck E’s attention. Fortunately, no lawsuit was filed.

She was upset that the mousy mascot wasn't high fiving her daughter and appeared to look right at her. He was high fiving the rest of the kids and seemed to pull his hand away when he saw the girl. They weren't interrupting, they were trying to participate.
This makes no sense. The mother lets her child interrupt another kid's private birthday party, the mascot ignores her, but takes a picture with her afterwards, and then the mother wants to file a lawsuit for the mascot ignoring her daughter who wasn't even supposed to be there? That's very stupid.

That girl was not paid for to be in the private party. The mascot I’m sure felt horrible for the whole situation. Imo a simple high five would’ve worked and kept it moving. So Chucky ignored her. Perhaps Chucky had strict guidelines. The mother seeks damages (a pay-out) for no harm being done. I worked at chuck e. Cheese for 3 years. I had to wear the suit. We had birthday groups, and when we had the shout out for a specific birthday group, we were supposed to only focus on that group. I also can confirm that it is VERY difficult to see out of the suit, i cant even tell you the amount of kids I, and the other employees, accidentally tripped over because we literally couldnt see them.The parents should have kept her back until the shout out was done anyways. Chuck E. also does walk arounds every hour as well where anyone can take photos with him.
I totally agree with you, I’m a black person and I don’t know why she’s trying to put a lawsuit on something as little as this, it’s not even a big deal and she wants to sue someone who barely gets any money wearing these suits..the little girl just didn’t get attention from a mascot ? I actually used to be a mascot for chuck e cheese, and they can only see out of the eye holes and if you tilt your head forward too much, the whole head falls off.
So that mascot really probably didn't even see her because she was too close. It's amazing how much stuff goes on so close to your body. In that costume and you can't even see it Happen

Former employee here, the reason why the mascot didn’t see your daughter is because he is in the middle of a birthday show. If you look closely every child from the birthday is lined up on stage. Birthday are extremely important, It’s not that he is ignoring your child, he is literally in the middle of what we call a “show”

I'm so tired of people playing the race card when things don't go your way. I remember some nursing students doing that to a Nursing clinical teacher cause they weren't doing good clinical wise. I was the main nurse on that floor. Through out the years this teacher never had issues from any of her students whether they were white, black, or hispanic. These few black students and not all of the black students I will add really tried saying it was "racism" like nah, ya'll just have no common sense. These students were making some pretty bad mistakes, so out of desperation, they tried to ruin this woman's reputation and career. I told those students that they were wrong for that. That poor teacher decided it would be her last year teaching and went back to the nursing field. We already have a shortage for nurses, so getting nurses to teach nursing students is even shorter.
