Bears SIGN CRAZY FAST LB in Carl Jones Jr. from UCLA in UDFA

- The Chicago Bears have signed UDFA LB Carl Jones Jr. from UCLA, who could become a key depth piece for both the LB room and Special Teams.
Jones Jr., who stand at 6'2, 230lb, is one of the most athletic LBs in the NCAA last season. He can run a 4.5 40-time, rep 225lb on bench 22 times, and had a RAS of over 9.
The 23 year old LB would join a very deep room of Tremaine Edmunds, TJ Edwards, and Jack Sanborn. The room is very thin though....making a case as to why Jones Jr. has a good chance at making this roster.

I met Carl outside of Outback Steakhouse in Bakersfield CA, his hometown and talked with him a minute. I could tell he is athletic and will have a career. I'll be watching his career and I hope the Bears can put him to use. Keep an eye on this guy.

The one position poles and company basically flubbed on was LB. Sanborn, who I really liked, looks average, so far. Edwards was a great pickup, but Edmunds is overrated and overpaid.
Get us Mack and Rodumb to back these guys up. 😂

6', 205lb corner that played semi pro... I benched 225, 25x regularly and I wasn't living in the gym. These stats ain't that impressive.
