Conserving stam is one of the most valuable habits you can adopt for the Isle. I go with the half rule when travelling. Half stam, take a break. That way if anything happens, you can atleast run or have some fighting chance. Having none is a death sentence, so never be caught with empty stam. In a fight, hold your nerve. If you see someone is baiting you, hold your hand steady and ONLY attack if you're certain it will land.
Also rocks. Use rocks hidden around the map against carno and cerato who cannot access most rock types but dinos who can jump can. You typically cannot be bitten on these regardless of positioning. Good spots to heal, regain stam.

earlier today i hit sub-adult raptor and was being a menace.... well i glitched and got stuck/glitched on the side of a dilo til my stam drained and i just got destroyed!
@@amfam100 Very true. Sometimes you can do everything right and still fail. Such is life, such is The Isle.
I know Vomit stunlock wasn't fun to deal with but I liked it, it truly built up Cerato as this "Fuck around and find out" Dino. Like if you weren't patient with your fight and let Cera hit you, then you have to disengage or it'd be certain death for you.
And Cera normally don't chase anything faster than it anyway, it's just a waste of stamina

Now being aware of just how busted Alt attack hitboxes are.... make some of the encounters here so much more understandable. but was fun as always helping record ^.^

Its been almost a week since I played Evrima, time to resume my Cera murdering warpath as my Carnos again.
I do the same thing, usually getting between 6-11 adult cera kills per game session.
Dw if u meet me it ends , carno is rly easy to beat ngl
@@profilenotfound2525 cera is easy to beat ngl, only challenge is if there are 2. I have never lost a 1v1 with a cera, even on a body with low food.
@@kratosdertoten4035 then the cera wasnt good , rly its so easy to beat carnos , due to the superior Mobility u can easy dodge bites and charges plus if u have bile u can make EM puke and then u have it safe
If a cera loses to carno while having body buff to 1 carno then tge cera is bad or not FG simple as that
@@kratosdertoten4035 mate ceras can 1v1 FG stegos, something only other FG stegos can do , carno aint rly a Problem, and since their charge is easy to dodge they onöy rly get it on when they do it by suprise
I think the difference between winning and losing as a carno all comes down to if it has stam regen/less steam usage on its diet.3 carbs for 25%regen and less consumption is super game changing on carno, for me at least.

tbh, i was worried that the carno with the debuffs would have little chance to hold its own on the isle, but with this guide, i am reasonable confidant of its chances now. Thx!

This baby carno or omni not sure tried attacking my tail but I was a stego so I just walked him until he died then carried on with my day
I love carno. I'm actually pretty decent and managed to adapt to its slow acceleration. But I suck at combat. I'm excellent at hunting just not good at fighting things around my size

Awesome guide, I just had to 1v1 a raptor, luckily it was after I watched that section of this video. I was only a 30% carno, they looked a lot larger than me. I was bleed down to 10% but won :D

Pachys are so mean even when I'm just running, and I can't win against 2 or more, should I just try to tank them?
They cripple you and then they just follow you and don't let you H rest, you basically crippled for life I waited more than 5 minutes and my leg didn't heal, whenever I tried to rest they bonked me

it does more damage indeed, but it's also slower
I fought like 6 carnos as a deino once and only won cuz i kept my stam in check
kouga i didnt know that u can kill 3 pachys with a broken leg as a solo

How to buck Raptors? I thought it was hold E but they seem to be able to hold on for a really long time
You just hold E, nothing more
@@KougaArt that's what I thought, I was 1v1ing a raptor and it just held onto to me for like a minute
@@oblivionfan345Tony if you are a raptor x raptor then it's impossible for you to hold E, or if you are being PINNED instead of Pounced (happens if you're smaller than the raptor)

Carno has more bitforce and way more health, but all the battles depends on both players skills!

Carno e bom para quem é experiente. Não gostei do que eles fizeram com o carno aindar mais que o carno no x1 contra cerato a vitória era do carno mais ok né. Aindar mais agora que o utah levanta mais rápido eles destruirão o carno.
2 carnos can kill a deino if you're as good as gmv gaming. 😂
If the deino is good, the Karno will only find out about his presence in the location when they are already in his jaws.
You shouldnt have used an alt while fighting a pachy, alt attacks are slow and it will be a free fracture. Id rather bait the pachies first
even against 4 pachys I won ^^

Carnos can actually kill a deino if tge deino is braindead and wastes all its stam
Stupid Deino* If the Deino is good, Karno will only learn about his presence in the location when they are already in his jaws.
@@Bahauddinist i know, but deino can also just confidently go out and fight them thinking they dont stand a chance, but i found out the hard way that not keeping an eye on stam is fatal even against carnos
@@profilenotfound2525 I adore deino, but I like to play the role of an ambush predator. I never make my presence known, and none of the land dinosaurs will ever know that I swam into this branch of the river until it is too late.
@@Bahauddinist ye , but that requires a lot of waiting wich most ppl dont have, and a fight is in my view always more fun , however ambushing is fun and satisfying but u often dont get to that point cuz the safe plces are barely inhabited and the highly populated spots are full of cannibals
