Great vid man them lures brilliant they are got one of Ryan here cavan last year and rod and lure got pulled of the boat in to the water I only put it down for a minute because my son got hooked so that was the end of all that 😂😂looking forward to the next vid👍
@@senanstanleyfishing yeah , you might as well be making used of the boat tho , lough derg looks great craic , dya ever read the stories about the 91lb pike and 70lb pike caught on derg back in the day
Oh I’ve heard all the stories , some class articles on the fishing from years ago 👌 I’ve no doubt Derg will produce an Irish monster again eventually, we can always dream anyway 😁👌
Thanks Damien! Ya the sliders are absolutely quality, really rate them highly! It’s my jerkbait rod which is a savage gear sg2 70-100gram and the reel is an okuma Serrano with yellow 60lb braid , the reel is cheap, I could do with upgrading it soon 😅👍
It’s really light! You could probably get a more solid reel tho for the money, I just like it because it’s light! The Abu pro max looks good for light stuff
The worst. I was fishing a canal in Holland once and the lure snapped off and landed up on the road of a bridge beside us. Was just throwing the leg over the rail to go get it and a car drove over it. Heart breaking 😵
Brilliant video ! Alway so hard to see a lure fire away in the distance after the line snapped ! Happend us all
Had a few nightmares about it last night 😂 thanks bud
Class fishing senan...must get a few sliders.
They are really good , trolled or casted. The 12cm sinking does really good in 12ft or less
Excellent fishing the Sliders are awesome 👍🏻
Thanks Kenny, they’re great fun to use 😁👌
Great video
Sliders are superb lures
Thank you, they are very productive 👏🎣
Great fishing Senan
Thank you Romas ! 👌🎣
Excellent video
Thank you 👌
Is that the sg2 baitcaster you're using there?
Ya that’s the sg2 jerk rod I think that one is 80-100 gram, it’s the finest 👌
@@senanstanleyfishing I've got the 8 foot 6. 50 to 110g. Cracker.
Might try some new rods for this year myself, used the sg2 and sg4 last year, solid finest for the price not too expensive 👌

They are really good and so simple to work in the water, really cool movement 😁👌 thanks for watching bud 👌🎣
Top stuff Senan lad. Can we see a video talkinh through different set ups.. rod/reel combos etc. That'd be a great help to us Derg newbies ;-)
Will do Matt! I have a video from todays fishing going up tomorrow, so I will try to put it into the next one 😅😁👌
Great video man. Keep them coming 👌
Thanks fergal, have should have another video tomorrow 😊👌

@@senanstanleyfishing Yeah true its just amazing the ammount of big pike caught there there must be 100 20lb+ pike in the lake
Great fishing Senan love those sliders have a lot of success on them. What rod and reel are you using with them. Like the look of that reel.

Thanks for getting back Senan. Would you recommend the Serrano for light Lure 40 - 80g? I have a Tranx for my heavy set up.

What type of retrieve do u use with the salmo sliders?
Hi, I really like to work the slider using the reel with short aggressive half turns , and then slow retrieve mixed in between !
Good stuff lad
Thank you 👌👏
Snap, splash.....Hate that. Tight lines but not that tight. Nice vid
Aw breaks your heart. Have a new one already so it’s fine 🎣😂 thanks for watching !
Heart breaking when your lure flys to the wind 😫 😃
Stop it was like a scene from the titanic, tears everywhere 😂😂😂👌

That’s proper unlucky 😅👎 never nice to lose a lure, especially one that’s just after catching a few fish and is working on the day 😁👎
