people forget hes a LB but can play LCB aswell. they just blinded by his recent positioning. hes a great buy and upgrades our lb instantly and can fight gabriel for his position too if we start with timbur as our lb
@@wilson3387 as Roma supporter i can tell you that you are wrong. he has always been CB, but he suffered very bad injury and when he returned there was no place for him in centre defence so he had to learn to play at left back but he is not amazing for that posizion. in centre defence however he is already 1 of the best players in europe, if he goes to arsenal then you are very lucky because he should already be playing in real madrid. however, i think arteta will probably play him on Left and alllow him to step inside and attack from more central posizion.

Listening to this conversation, tells me one important thing some talksport presenters don't really watch arsenal. If they did watch arsenal they would know we have a left back issue. As much as they talk about we need a striker Arsenal scored 103 goals last season. What this team needs is a L8 to partners Rice a RW to compete with Saka. It's funny they never ask when City buys defenders.
Alex Crook? Who is he? A coach? Has no clue about football tactics. He's among the idiotic pundits that saw no good in Havertz joining arsenal. The problem with the pundits is that they assume they know too much just by watching the game.
Examples abound. Last week, it was drop Saka, start Palmer(of the back of a 15 min cameo). This week, oooh, Saka is the best English player in the tournament so far. What a load of flip-flopping clowns. It's painful that these guys get paid for spewing out rubbish all the time.

Rewind to last season and the Raya signing. Almost everyone, whether for or against it said , "Why?" Not a position Arsenal needed to address. A year on and he's Golden Glove winner and had a very impressive first season. Same with Calafiori. We more than achieved all of our base line targets without Timber, who is a game changer and Partey, who is one of the best midfielders about (when fit) for the majority of the season. Arsenal are close to challenging for the lot, which in this day and age is no small feat. Califiori will only help us get there. COYG

Some people don't seem to get it. Calafiori's stocks keep rising. He is currently the face of that Italian National team and one of the best young Italian defenders in football at the moment. 12 to 13 years ago no chance any club outside of AC Milan , Juve or Inter get him. It is a huge statement for any club outside of Italy to get a hold of an italian defender that is that highly rated by their country because it just does not happen.
What it also does for Arsenal's brand and how we are perceived is also massive. A team that is so defensively dominant with a defender in Saliba who is already top 3 in world football recruiting a Calafiori just makes the defensive presence of Arsenal so much more intimidating to come up against especially if he meets the expectations that so many have of him.

Calafiori is like a DM in Motta's system in certain phases - that would be a LB in Mikel's.
Califiori will play at left back. Arsenal is building a defense where their back four are like having 4 centerbacks/Hybrids. Everybody claiming that Arsenal need urgently a striker does not know what they are talking about. Getting one woulkd help the team but right now they need to shore up the left back and midfield positions. Arsenal scored 62 goals the same as Manchester 115 ffp charges Cheaty. This was done without a Haaland. Arsenal are aiming to win the league with a great defense. Arsenal are a very well coached and run team.
Ipswich and Sheffield Utd is not chalk and cheese. Ipswich are not selling anyone. They are building. And they are spending more because they don’t have debts or a need to make money. Owners have already more the tripled the value of the club meaning all the new Prem revenue for this season can go on improving the team and advancing it with hungry players. Remember most players played in the championship or lower before and by they looks of it, they are really cherry picking who they want. They aren’t building short term. They still have money to spend and still have 2 loans to use if they need.
