For such an early game boss, Rowen has an impressive arsenal at his disposal! Good thing he's weak to being whacked over the head with a blunt stick, that certainly helps Leia!
Oh, you can actually see the knife here (o,o )! I think my screen was so dark, I was literally dodging in the dark, I couldn't see it. Nice work dealing with his antics though. And smart to use the weakness reset to avoid his Tidal Wave. Wish I thought of that in my run where I had to guard it in all my attempts(though the tech wasnt' known afaik at the time, least til my Maxwell video =03)
Tbh it's really hard to see the knives. I just sidestep and hope for the best so I'm basically in the same boat as you haha. Glad you enjoyed the solo though, weird for me to think about a time where weakness resets weren't discovered yet!
Bisley's orders for Leia were to beat up a dog, kill some guy with a lab coat, and then murder an old geezer? I can't possibly think of anything that can top this unless she has to fight something as stupid as a sentient tesla coil, but that would never happen, right?
Nice job! Getting some Farah flashbacks with that Eagle Rage lmao. Not only is it really good in both games but the animation is honestly very satisfying to watch. Around 0:31, were you just out of Severed Fate's range or does it not have air hitboxes? :O
Thanks! Eagle Rage is my savior in yet another game it seems :D I was just out of range of Severed Fate there. I actually barely dodged it, I thought I was dead there for sure in the moment!
If Eagle Rage is in a character's kit, it must be their best arte. Some kind of secret rule that the Tales devs follow it seems lol. The offensive recovery was honestly the hardest part of the fight for me. I'm used to recoveries being a safe timing so it took me a long time to get used to D:

I feel kinda bad for beating up an old man with a stick but Bisley's orders y'know?

What a marvelous dance performed to the death. Unfortunately, only one is allowed to perform the finale~
Good stuff as usual bro
Congrats on pulling this off, looked like a real tough one for such an early-game boss 😭
Thanks lol, Rowen is Mr. Iron Stance in this game 😱

Surely not, right??

awesome
Eagle Rage gaming truly is a universal constant, huh?
Also, interesting that he has an offensive recovery. Adds a lot of personality to the fight.
