BEFORE You Alter Your Clothes, Check These First

DIY tailoring your own clothes is easy to do at home! But there are two things that you want to make sure that you check before you get started, and in this video I'm going to tell you what they are.
The first thing to check is your bobbin. Your bobbin is the small spool of thread that makes up the bottom portion of your stitch. It's really easy to overlook because it's hidden in its own compartment.. You check the top spool of thread, but not the bobbin. Do you know what happens then? You run out of thread in it in the middle of a tailoring project, or maybe even a RUclips video. Ask me how I know...
The next thing you want to check is your needle. You're most likely using a universal needle, which is great! The problem is that you will tailor something, and then put your sewing machine away for a few weeks, and then start up again. Your needle doesn't last forever. You want to change it pretty regularly. So when in doubt, change your needle!
