Fitting that the Bears blew a chance for a 21-7 lead by giving it to the Fridge who fumbled, turning point in the game. If they'd just given the ball to Payton he would have scored. Typical Bears overconfidence in those days cost them.
Now I know why my dad and uncles hated Dan Dierdorf. He was a buffoon on the mic. Lilly was trying to hold up Butler as he went out of bounds. He didn’t try throwing him to the ground. I have no idea how this guy kept a job for so long..??
59:06 - That was the play that cost Chicago the game, because they were already within field goal range and would most likely have gone up by eight points again, thereby making it necessary for Denver to score twice instead of only once.
I was at this game, and I couldn't wait to see that specific play. It was just unbelievable, absolutely a rocket shot. John was above and beyond the rest of the talent on the field this particular game. Sure, Jim McMahon was tossing it nice, but not like John.
The Bears should have one this one, but deserved to lose. Undisciplined defense, horrible o-line -- Jim Covert --pass protection, and poor special teams.
Thank you for posting this

Damn good game, I didn’t see it back then you would’ve have the 76 game between the browns and Steelers when turkey jones body slammed Bradshaw?

The Bears let their guard down that night
