I was lucky to visit the Panda Center in Chengdu. If you go there, prepare to wear proper shoes because the park is as big as Disneyland. Pandas lives like kings and queens in Chengdu. Hopefully these bears are not bored in San Diego.

We went and were so excited to see the pandas. We left with so many people talking shit lmao They weren’t out but still led you through the line as if they were. We wish the tour was longer too. They said it was a 45 minute tour but from our time it was 24 minutes. The plants are beautiful and have many amazing ones to look at. All the other types of animals as well. We had a very great time but disappointed about not seeing the pandas since that was the only reason we wanted to go, but hey it was fun. They should atleast close the line to see the pandas when they’re “not out”.

You need to worry about pandas in China more than in overseas. 1) Some of the zoo keepers in China are abusing pandas hitting them on camera. 2) Many pandas in China are getting sick to have unsafe private encounters and getting life long sickness like allergies with hair loss, because zoos are making more money to sell the private encounters. 3) Some of the pandas in China are not immediately treated when they are sick. I can even name the mistreated pandas of these cases.

Three years later, the same bear came to humans again, thinner and poorly nutritional. There are a lot of efforts in retraining some of them to return them back to the nature. But you have to study them well to help them. The big part of the getting to know them can only be done in the zoo. So it depends on the specific zoo and the effort.
