I saw a panda at the san diego zoo back in 2000. It is very lovely. Hopefully, this new panda will settle down at the washington dc zoo fine and adjust to weather soon.
Last year, I just happened to be exiting the Foggy Bottom Metro station when three FedEx trucks went by with pandas painted on them and I immediately realized that each was carrying a panda (Tian Tian, Mei Xiang, and their youngest cub, Xiao Qi Ji) from the National Zoo to Dulles airport, heading back to China. I was so unhappy to see them go, especially the elder pandas who had been in DC so long. In any event, glad to have a new pair of pandas in DC again and thrilled that one of them is the grandson of Tian Tian and Mei Xiang.)

If they didn't uproot them from their natural habitat, pandas would have gone extinct. So be thankful there are dedicated people who went through great lengths to make sure they ate still here today and thriving.
They aren’t being put into a concrete cage, you obviously haven’t been to the Washington Zoo. They get great environments and are treated extremely well, people like you just don’t like having fun or enjoying things.
My parents and I went to the National Zoo last year. The animals there are well cared for. Since I volunteer at the St. Louis Zoo, I am very strict when it comes to zoos and aquariums and will only visit ones with AZA accreditation.
Poor panda will be treated like a slave in US. That is what they did to YAYA. they wanted a new one because they always get what they wanted, a new toy, and throw it away.
