    You produced a number of excellent videos and I enjoy them.

      Thanks. Appreciate that. The channel will keep going for sure, just revamping it a little. Basically only going to film actual trips where I'm camping over night or multiple nights. A lot of videos I did, was just day trips to put a video out and a bunch of those I took off my channel cause they had less than 20 views. So now unless I'm planning to make a good quality video, than I simply won't film anything. Like today I spent the day exploring some new areas I want to do some camping/ canoeing and exploring but I didn't film more than a few minutes just for my own viewing and reference. Simply enjoyed the day with my dog.

    I enjoy your videos like this one. I'm local and I like the mystery of trying to recognize where you're rambling about.

      LMAO! Yup, I don't always give away the lake names for that reason to keep people guessing. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. Hint; most of my videos are in the Temagami area but parts of this video were more the Elk Lake/ Gowganda area.

    Love the trip videos - being originally from the area we want to do the Larder River. Keep your camera handy and show us some of the mores memorable things … like the moose.

      @darrendavidsonoutdoors  8 месяцев назад +1

      The Larder River was a fun run, specially if you're just going from Raven Lake down to Wendigo Lake. It was so much fun I'm thinking of doing it again some weekend just for fun. And yes, if I cut out the day trip videos, chances are they'll become shorts videos. I always have a camera handy, even at work with me. LOL!

    Darren, thanks for the video.
    You ultimately gotta do this for you. Honestly, one in a million hits the jackpot and gets sucked into the RUclips algorithm.
    I'm happy that you're doing what YOU want to do. I'll stay subscribed and will continue to watch and personally I enjoy seeing you out no matter the length or difficulty of the trip.
    If it's not fun, I think you have your answer.

      @darrendavidsonoutdoors  8 месяцев назад

      Yup. For sure. The channel will keep going for sure BUT there will be some revamping. Probably won't put many videos out this summer but they'll appear later in the Fall and early winter months. And only actual trip videos. Plus I plan to mix things up as well and not just do strictly canoe tripping stuff. Yes, there will definitely still be canoe tripping but I also want to do some crown land ATV camping trips and a fishing trip or two in my aluminum motor boat. I have these other toys in my toy box I call it, so as much fun as I have in my solo canoe, the other toys are fun as well. Plus, can't forget hunting season! No moose tag once again so makes time for bear and grouse season.

      For sure! I just don't want the channel to become like a second job. I do enjoy making videos but it sometimes feels like a job now and then. But I'll try to do a happy medium for everyone.

      @@darrendavidsonoutdoors i don't blame you one bit bud. It should NEVER become a second job. You do what you want to do, how you want to do it and when you want to do it.
      If you want to do raw uncut/edited videos then do that, it's your channel.
      I will still be here no matter what my friend. You and Tuck stay safe, stay healthy, have fun and God Bless brother.

    I haven't been following as much as normal. Guilty but haven't been watching much of anything. I like watching all your trips. I do the same kind of stuff but I don't film it. I have the same canoe but black. Sweet vessel . Hope the viewers increase for you.

      Thanks for the support. It's all good. The channel isn't going anywhere but definitely doing some revamping to things. Go out and enjoy the summer months cause you probably won't miss too much from my channel over the summer. But come the Fall, hopefully better videos will be back on. Thanks for subscribing.

      @darrendavidsonoutdoors the year is just beginning. Hoping to do a weekend fish in my Canoe on Kenogami Lake and blanche river in June.

      @@waynetalbot6196 Sweet!! The funny thing is, while looking over topo maps, I was looking at all the northern waterways north of Liskeard cause Temagami gets busy in July and August. May have to go further north and explore around up there. I have the Blanche River on my bucket list to actually do the full river from Kenogami down to Lake Temiskaming. Only one problem of not many campsites if any. May have to do some stealth camping. LOL! Little hard with a yappy excitable dog. LOL! But I'm sure I could figure out some spots. Also Lake Abitibi is on that bucket list and who knows from there. May do that lake with my motor boat for safety.

      @@darrendavidsonoutdoors good Walleye fishing in June. I couldn't find much in the line of crown land camping either. Pitching a tent at a trailer park near Kirkland. I will be going up from North Bay.

    Tucker looking at you for a ride on the ATV was priceless - How old is he?
    Looked like a grand old time regardless of getting stuck!... Can't get stuck by sitting on the couch man!! Well... I guess you can... But a different kind of stuck LOL

    • @darrendavidsonoutdoors
      @darrendavidsonoutdoors  8 месяцев назад +1

      Tucker will be 13 next week on the 24th. He still acts like a puppy when he wants to play fetch or catch me a fish but 80% of most days he spends sleeping on the couch. He has no medium speed. It's either full throttle or he's sleeping. LOL! Can you tell he was raised in a truck? He was actually truck trained before he was house broken. His first trip in the truck was at 8 weeks old across Canada to Edmonton AB. Since then he's been from Vancouver to California, Mexico border in Texas and Arizona to Florida, the entire eastern seaboard of the US, parts of the east coast of Canada and everywhere in between. He started to become famous at some of the places I dropped off or picked up at and people knew him by name. Even border patrol started giving him treats once in awhile. LOL! All until 2022 when Trudeau said no more. I'm working a new job local now but Tucker is retired and just guards the house now instead of the truck. He could tell you stories for sure of places we've been and some of the sketchy people. The once somebody actually tried to get in the truck one day as I was napping in the bunk. This guy opened my door and was on the step about to get in and Tucker dove at him teeth first growling and actually made the guy fall out of the truck. I jumped awake and this new immigrant was getting to his feet wiping the mud off himself apologizing and then took off. Tucker got extra treats that day. It was funny cause he was so good at his job, the boss wasn't even allowed into the truck if Tucker was there. LOL! He's been riding on the ATV, snowmachine, canoe and boat since a puppy so he's not scared of any of my toys. And the pickup is just like a cottage to him. A home away from home.
      And yes, its never a boring day around me. LOL! Most people quit coming on my "Sunday" type drives with me cause they know it's not just down a highway somewhere. It usually involves backroads, log roads and sometimes even no roads exploring the unknown. And yup, it's not my first rodeo getting stuck alone in the woods. I've buried my truck a time or two like that as well which is why I now usually use the ATV cause it's easier to get unstuck with it. LOL! Anyways, thanks for watching!

    Maybe you should just video once every 2 weeks for day trips and other content then still video your bigger trips. Maybe also try and get a bunch of RUclipsrs together and video a day trip. Just some ideas. The channel will be missed.

    • @darrendavidsonoutdoors
      @darrendavidsonoutdoors  8 месяцев назад

      The channel isn't ending. Just day trips may end and I'll only show overnight trips. We'll see. Just this year I'm planning a lot of different trips. Gonna do a fishing trip out of my motorboat for instance, hopefully an ATV crown land camping trip once I design a canoe rack for my ATV. So the over night trips will still get filmed, just not my "day" trips out fishing and hunting etc. Just trimming the B roll junk so to speak.
