just adding a little bit more info: the monster's name in Dandadan is Nessie and the design was influenced by Godzilla, but Nessie itself is an actual legend/lore/or sighting, since the old days, of the Loch Ness monster (aka Nessie). The description of it in photos/illustrations is just like how Godzilla is about to rise from the waters, or something like a camel (w/ the humps and all) submerged in half in a lake
An interesting thing to mention is that the transformations affect how they talk too, most noticeably how they refer to each other. Okarun is usually formal but when he tranforms he calls women by their first name with "chan" which is why Aira and Momo were embarrassed. Now with Aira, she added "sama" to Takakura.

I noticed the only woman who never sexually assaulted okarun so far was MOMO. Pink hair took his ball and tried forced kissed him, Turbo granny took his whole genitals, momo’s grandma even played baseball with his ball and tryied chasing him before, and now the aliens tryna cut it off. MOMO is his true Soulmate and respects him the most. Insane tbh
So the author loves kaiju stuff so the loch ness monster's face is actually Godzilla's design in the Heisei era and the laser beam sequence is a reference to the movie Shin Godzilla.
So a really cool detail I've noticed so far is that all of the yokai are traditionally animated and all the aliens are 3D animated. So Nessie is an alien.
I just realized if u read the manga u would see that when okarun puts the thing on his hand hes lifting his hand up, in the manga okarun uses that same training as his special move lol where he uppercuts aliens, and curses.

Ayane Sakura (Airas VA) basically has two settings to her voice: 1) The cutesy, girly voice she does for characters like regular Aira, Iroha from Oregairu, Gasper from Highschool DxD, Abiko from Oshi no Ko, etc. 2) The "step on me dommy-mommy"-voice she does for "Silky Aira" and characters like Fiona Frost from Spy X Family, Tomoe from Tsukimichi, Epsilon from Overlord, etc. There is nothing inbetween, and I love it. :P
The thing about Momo is this... yes the cursed spirits get a form but the exciting part is that Momo has a completely different power entirely. Just like what if more people can get spirit forms, but what if there are more people that have powers like Momo? And what if it leads into spirts and the people with Momo's power end up not liking each other and it ends up being a war situation with Okarun and Momo on opposite sides? There's so many good things about this show and i can't wait to see where it goes. By the way love you guys! Found you by re watching H x H with you and here I am for Dan Da Dan.
