    I bought this a few days ago , I am waiting for the 5.5 mm pointed pellets to arrive , but I have to say , it's awesome! Mine has a feature where the iron sights have 2 small green things , that are highly reflective which results in a glow like effect , which aids in aiming in low lighting settings ! It's truly awesome

    Cool vid, no BS, very informative. Just remember to tighten the stock screws every 300 shots. I've owned one of those springers and they are tidy bits of kit for (the price) upto 23 yds - for targets or small game or pests. E.g. pest feral pigeons, squirrels, mice or rats, and even rabbits upto 20 yards as well. Rob, UK.

    The B3's tend to go through breech seals. There is a video out there where a guy is s a common faucet seal as a breech seal. Easy to find. Search RUclips for B3 breech seal. I think this is the air rifle known most for cutting fingers when loading. I think the concept of an underlever, or side lever air rifle makes sense, with the barrel remained by stationary. Used to be able to order B3's for $19.95. And, we know you enjoy tinkering with your airguns. If it makes you happy, then more power to you brother.

    I owe you many thanks! As I dream of the TX200 (which looks quite similar but 10 - 15 times the cost). I found one in 22 caliber from a distributor named 'Lost World' just a moment ago for $84.35. A minute earlier I found a Chinese B3 clone from National Standard Products priced at $129.00. Almost ordered a Beeman QB78 priced at $170.00 and glad I didn't. The Chinese have made quality service rifles throughout the last century. China even offered high quality manufactured military replicas (A grade) for those in the U.S. surplus / replica rifle market pre-1989. 'Polytechnology' milled & drop forged AK47's is an example of such a quality item delivered to the consumer with quality everything. I have owned and regret trading 2 of those...but Norinco stamped AK47's function and feel the same, and are gone from the U.S. market the same.

    As if 7 air guns weren't enough, I was recently given a B3 .177 in very good condition. The reciever is stamped with the Cummins Industrial Tools Logo between breech and barrel. Shoots quite good. Chrony results with JSB RS express 7.33g diabolo were 663 fps avg. and 7.1 fpe. 8.44 jsb exact clocked in at 642 fps. avg. and just under 7 fpe. It is a lot of fun to shoot. I put an ultra cheap 4X20 scope on it and it will shoot quarter sized groups at 10 m. Until the weather gets better that's as long as I can stretch my indoor range and yes, I do hear about it from the little woman... }:-0 ! Looking forward to tinkering with this one. BTW, I own a .22 Synergis. I like the action and repeater functions. Have had no problems as long as you don't try to load too long a pellet in the mag. I would like to see a single shot tray added to the mix, but it may not work well with the breech design. Really likes heavier pellets in the 16-19gr. range. accurate enough for a .22, of course your mileage may vary. lol Thanks for your content. I like the laid back delivery.

      @@ohshoot444 depending how much you want to spend… $350 can you a hw30, extremely easy to use and very accurate out of the box. my favorite rifle out of my collection. Around 700 feet per second in .177. So not very strong but for target practice and plinking it is freaking Awesome. Light weight.
      Or if ur willing to spend $400 I would recommend a hw50.
      -Idea for small game. Anything from a squirrel down. Around 800 fps .177 definitely packs a punch. Truly Extremely accurate rifle. Medium weight.
      Or if your looking for a true target 🎯 rifle, I recommend an hw77 or hw97. Around $600
      Basically the same thing but I still recommend the hw97 a bit more IF you’re into using optics. Since it doesn’t have any iron sights… truly accurate rifles BUT they are pretty heavy. About 9.5 kg
      Now lastly if you want a rifle in a higher caliber that packs a bigger punch AND still maintains high accuracy, I would recommend an hw80.
      Top notch speed and accuracy for its power.
      It’ll come out around $500 but it’ll take down a raccoon in one go.
      All of these rifles I own so my recommendations come with knowledge and honesty. You can purchase them from Arizona air guns or pyramidair… although pyramidair seems to have them a bit more expensive…
      ANWAYS, these recommendations go for everyone that sees this comment. Hope I helped someone chose a rifle to have fun with this year.

      @@ohshoot444 These are still in production. It looks like a piece of junk, but I am strangely attracted to it. It's something about the color of the stock, thick varnish, color of the bluing over the coarse machining marks and the big gap between the barrel and the cocking lever. They don't need CO2, or High Pressure Air. I have read that the early models, like yours, either don't have safety features, or they are faulty. Don't lose a finger to it! I guess you would hold the cocking lever every time you load it (but they tell us to do that anyway.) I see they are available in both .177 and .22. Hmmm.

    Just had one in .22 delivered this afternoon. Just under 70 bucks total. Only markings are the serial number. Put a dozen or so Crosman HPs through it resting it on the back of a lawn chair to check it out. It's burning off oil and it's awkward to load but it's still brand new to me.
    Have to zero it in tomorrow but at a measured 20 yards it's a fine shooter so far. Been eyeing the Hatsan 95 in .22 but wanted something in the mean time to plink with. This thing looks to be a fun little rifle.

    • @JohnSmith-mj6qx
      @JohnSmith-mj6qx 2 года назад

      Little info if anyone is interested.
      So far about 300 Crosman HPs and a 100 or so Gamo Rockets through it. Both are just as accurate, or inaccurate, in my particular rifle with me pulling the trigger. Only difference I see is in loading. The Crosman drop in without resistance with about an 1/8" of the chamber showing. Most fall out if the rifle is held vertical. Gamo are snug and have an audible click when seated. It usually shaves a little skin off the very bottom of the skirt. They sit flush with the chamber end.
      Open sights and rested at 10 yards pretty much all pellets of both brands will touch. Out to 17 or so it's still very acceptable. Definitely a fun inexpensive rifle so far. Not a huge fan of the sloppy trigger but the gun is growing on me. It's solid. It's not purpose built for critter getting if that's your thing but I'd pull the trigger for a head shot on a small one to about 15 yards with it. Not much further. Plenty accurate and adequate power at that range.
      Still eyeing the Hatsan 95. Pretty rifle. Need to just order the thing already. Back door of my garage to the back fence is 137 yards. It's legal for me and I've shot my powder burners here a few times. Be nice to have something quiet, accurate and powerful enough out to about 40. Keep my belly full without scaring everything half to death.
      Edit: Attempted to make paragraphs in this wall of text novel.

My girlfriends dad has been gone about 7 years same time as mine so we don't know much about the rifle but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't locked up and could maybe shoot, is there anything u would recommend me doing to it?

      Just keep shooting it. If it persists after 50 or so shots may need to take apart and clean.

    I just found one of these at in a garbage heap. It shoots, the wood needs sanding and a new coat. What do you mean by detonating? I haven’t shot it yet and not sure if it shoots bbs, pellets or both

    • @ohshoot444
      @ohshoot444  Год назад

      Detonating is when the pressure in the tube get's high enough to cause combustion. Makes a rifle shoot awful. It should shoot pellets. If you're in the us you can get replacement parts for it. Also if you send it my way I'll go through the action for you.

    I just picked up a B3 variant from a garage sale yesterday. It wasn't until I got it home that I realized it didn't have a rear sight, and the plastic part at the end of the piston fell apart (common problem apparently). Where can I find parts for this gun? I picked it up because the price was right. I don't want to put too much into it to being the price back up to Amazon levels. It looks like this may be an older model; the sight may have been removed so a scope could be mounted on the dovetail grooves. I think the newer versions have the rear sight at the end of the break barrel.
    I guess I could 3D print the plastic part, but I'd still be grateful for information about a parts dealer in the US, or a "suitable sub" for the rear sight. I don't want to mount a scope on this thing.

    • @ohshoot444
      @ohshoot444  2 года назад

      If it’s just the cap, it’s not needed. That’s on the outside of the rifle. If it’s the piston seal, they have those on eBay. The rear sight, I’d just get a tip-off to Picatinny adapter and run a scope.

      Avec suffisamment de pratique, oui. Je pense que sous 5FPE ne serait pas éthique. Mais, la plupart de ces B3 émettent près de 6,5 FPE. Je pense que je ferais en sorte de pouvoir me faire tirer une balle dans la tête et ne pas mutiler l’animal. Merci d’avoir commenté dans Français ami.

    Are you shooting the pioneer? I bought a vintage pioneer China today from a yard sale for my son. I pulled the under lever down and then I pulled the trigger and I think I broke it because it won't shoot now. 😭 my son hasn't even got to see it yet. Can any one help me? I don't know what to do.can I take it apart and fix it? Maybe I need to replace a spring? Omg I have no idea. I was excited when I got this gun. But I really don't know much about guns yet. I'm still learning. Is there any plastic on yours?
