姜河十岁就开始崇拜江海了。漫长的青春岁月里，她的人生信条就是--离江海更近一点。抱着同样想法的还有一个人，他是顾辛烈，只不过他的理想是--离姜河更近一点。顾辛烈总是被姜河叫成“顾二蠢”，其实他一点都不蠢，他只是在爱情面前手足无措。江海和姜河出国来到了英国伦敦留学，顾辛烈的人生目标做了一些修改，那就是来到姜河身边。江海和姜河在英国留学的日子，充满眼泪和欢笑。顾辛烈在家乡同样奋斗终于也来到英国。姜河一路追随江海，如同顾辛烈一路追随姜河，青春的热情，简单的执着，一曲异国恋曲悄然上演。

This movie has taught me the reality of life, there's no indeed such thing as what if, for everything that has happened, happening and will about to happen is destiny. Watched this for the nth time but can't keep myself from tearing as usual. "He spent his whole life loving me, but i spent my whole life missing him" We all deserve a dumb gu in our lives😭
To wish for someone's smile is the most beautiful thing ever. And when she kept blowing her whistle at the end for Gu is so heart breaking 😭.
The twist at the end of the story regarding the death of Gu brings out the epic feeling regarding life , this shows that not every story needs a happy ending and that memories it self can make one choose whether to live in past or carry forward like Jiang He . Really appreciate this movie ,made outside the comfort zone of love and happiness .
He used his entire life to love me.. And i'll use my entire life to miss him.. 😢

我終於完整看到這部電影，同情宋威龍一秒鐘，這劇情也太薄弱太狗血，難怪壓這麼久才上映，可惜宋威龍演的不錯，有演出學霸精髓，只是編劇實在太不給力，算了，起碼有上片，沒再被雪藏😭

Song Wei Long still young here. Nice to see him in this movie as his name is Dumb Gu. He is a versatile actor
I made a mistake his name is Jiang Hai (Song Wei Long) but Jiang Chao who is Gu Xinlie did a brilliant role that makes me sad as their communication with Jiang He (Zhang Zifeng) is the whistle but Jiang He did not find Gu Xinlie and did not appear in front of her.Beautiful movie, this two actors Song Wei Long and Jiang Chao are in their peak of their careers.
For future viewers. I will highly recommend this movie. Worth of time. It will really make you emotional. 😢

The ending is so unexpected that it broke my heart. I just watch this because I watched 2 Chinese movies before that had a very good ending, sweet and wholesome, I thought this is the same but it isn't. Hoping for the happiness of shorty (forgot her name)

When we watch movies our emotions blend with the emotions portrayed by actors on the camera. With every changing scene, they change in different forms during emotional scenes we cry, and sometimes a smile comes when they smile. Until the end when you see everything ended happily, your heart feels joy and warmth from this. Happy endings let you have a happy imagination that fills you with joy but it disappears in the thin air of changing emotions in your heart, as a person I always liked happy endings they give you hope that life has a good part that's amazing and peaceful but as the time passed by I found sad endings let you see the life in it's true and raw form as how it has exactly always been for so many people who exist in this world or ever existed. On your bad days, you connect with those characters' words who had sad endings, and even if you knew that person doesn't exist you still might cry.
You know throughout life as you grow life never gives everyone a happy ending so many stories that become movies producers, directors & writers turned them into happy endings through the camera but they never really had a happy ending in real life so sad endings might make us feel bad for characters or people but they let us have the taste of reality. That's my view after watching the passage of youth. And I wish they really have a happy ending in a parallel universe, Thank you. 🌼✨

This movie is one of the best movie I have ever watched
I thing its so amazing that you love a person with all your heart just wishing an exchange just for a smile is heartbreaking but the most heartbreaking breaking is were she realises that dumb gu have the deepest love in her heart then she blow to the whistle but his not there any more infront of her is the most heartbreaking thatake me cry the most. Sometimes we dont see the. People that walk in our side is the one that loves and care for us we just focus tothe person that is infront of us and admiting them.
