My mom was taken off of her respirator after the hospital pressured us to make the decision because they insisted that it would cause damage over time and even though she wasn’t speaking, she was responding by squeezing our hands. They said that she had mini strokes that were shutting down parts of her brain (and brushed off any questions I had in reference to neuroplasticity)
I had concerns about the fact that they had her on fentanyl and wondered if that was the reason she was so ‘faded.’
I reluctantly accepted their procedures & was furious when they admitted that the urgency to pull her respirator by a specific date because her insurance ended that day.
I feel like we were gaslit.

This is so sad 😢 so sorry about your loss! I'm here to tell you my aunt had this samething happen to her Thanksgiving 2 yrs ago when covid was full force. They said she had it so bad that her lungs would never be the same again and that she would be in vegg state, this lady has never smoked or even had hardly any health issues but insurance will only cover so many days in hospital 😮 she passed within minutes of removing the ventilator. They have sent my mom home when she needed more time in ICU for the same reasons😢 sad world we live in, this is the main reason I walked away from my dream of being a nurse!!

I’m really not ‘with you’ for the first time- this is really dangerous for people to be learning inflammatory history via tiktok. Most of them have partial truths or they don’t have time to give you the full story that’s important. People are referring to ‘America’ as evil but I noticed they were meaning the government and it’s important to note ‘under what administration’. America’s past isn’t perfect- no countries past is perfect but this ongoing propaganda of America being ‘evil’ is wrong and its steering younger generations coming up not to have great pride in their country seeking the exceptionalism but to find the faults and be ashamed of it will end badly in that there won’t be a country for any of us and we’ll be marching our way to the gallows via China, Russia and/or Iran.
That story about George Washington is 100% not true. Washington was not from money. He was not "wealthy" until he married Martha. Martha Washington was the wealthy one so GW literally married into money. Sure he did have slaves like many did at the time, and yes that includes more blacks than you'd ever know from watching any of these videos on American history. In reality GW was at man at odds. At odds with the principles he had helped find this country o xn while owning slaves. He wrote about this with great detail. Also for what it's worth he was known to treat his slaves far better than others. Thomas Jefferson was the President who owned the most slaves. George included in his will that all his slaves were to become legal freed men. This was big at the time. The slave trade was a Dutch enterprise and it's important to know that blacks in Africa rounded up their weak and offered them to be sold. For the longest the white man barely set foot in Africa. The slaves were brought to them to be sold.

He had dinners with his slaves and allowed them their own property on his property and protected them. For his time, he was an outstanding and admirable man. Also I'm pretty sure the other guy helped his slaves become educated and gave them prosperous employment with better living than average slaves. I think he may have gathered children with enslaved mistresses too so unsure of him. GW though absolutely went above and beyond for the human species and had a bleeding heart knowing that they were no different than him aside from color or other insignificant details.
Don't respond with emotions but rather go research it and you'll see than we were lucky to have him as the first president.
Also it should be mentioned that African tribes would also sell men of other tribes after conquering them. Easily verifiable stuff I promise.

Dude talking about the lady working all day for $25 in a different country. I knew from the first sentence, and was yelling at my screen community. Because I've been there, I make good money, I live in the city, and I know the biggest thing missing in my life is community. My family lives 3 hours away, and I still drive up there every other weekend just to spend time with people that I love. Even if we do nothing, I know I'm spending my time with people who care. Happiest I've been was (outside of my family) was in rehab with other people I cared about and wanted their success and happiness as much as my own. Chasing the dollar doesn't achieve that. Cities, even though there's millions of people around, doesn't achieve that. you're just another fucking number. I'm telling you. Loving people, wanting to contribute to their success, them wanting to rejoice in yours. And sharing the harvest you reaped together. That's what life is about. Mark my words.

I am SO grateful that we don’t pay for any healthcare in the UK and in Scotland we don’t even pay for our prescriptions!🙌🏽🙏🏽 we are so so very lucky! It’s really crazy that in scotland we even get all our prescriptions free😱🙌🏽 we used to pay years ago, and even then you could pay a 3 month fee that covered ALL prescriptions no matter how much and im sure it was about £10-£12 for 3 months? The thing about Native Americans is true. The settlers that founded America definitely screwed over the Indians (I’m an Indian and that’s what I prefer to be called, not Native American. “Savage” will also suffice). There is more to that story though. The original foreigners who came, such as Christopher Columbus, the Conquistadors like Ponce De Leon, etc. left a disease that wiped out so many of the indigenous population that most of our information from the Indians who were here during the Columbus era. By the time the Europeans who settled arrived, what they encountered was a husk of the native populations.
