Funny how tarot gets to be so personal. I don't see any of what you see in this card. To me, it does not speak of love between people at all, but of choosing from the heart. But yes, of complementing opposites. The toxic relationship, stalking, fear of intimacy, breakup, all that i see in other cards such as the Devil and the Empress. Oh yeah. Just like relationships. Full of contradiction. I was giving a friend a reading and The Lovers reversed came up. It was reflecting that she had recently retired from a job she loved.
