are we factoring in the drop in suspension from the trailer weight for level towing? for example, 5000lb trailer will drop rear suspension at least 3 inches or more resulting in 3 more inches of drop offsetting the trailer to a forward position, Am i correct? Rule of thumb, get the base drop/rise measurement instructed in the video, then use any ball mount, measure the height of hitch, drop load, re-measure. Subtract that measurement from your drop, add that measurement from your rise.

Hey VB, thanks for the question. are we factoring in the drop in suspension from the trailer weight for level towing? No. This video is a quick overview and it is not factoring all aspects of level towing. Once we remake the video I would like to include any gaps that this video has. There are several situations that can alter the leveled height that this video is missing. 1: Is improper trailer loading. Tongue weight can vary depending on how the trailer is load not just the weight. 2: If the vehicle has bad suspension it's going to drop more then usual. 3: If you have any extra cargo in your car, even passengers. Can alter the leveled height. and 4: Tire Sizes also can effect leveled height. If you don't' have stock tires on you truck and trailer can alter the height. Any other gaps I need to cover on the video. Any feed back will help, cheers!
