Because Chamath actually understands economics, he would just shut Yang BS down. Bitcoin doesn't go well with UBI at all, and Chamath is hard long on Bitcoin. You can't run UBI without printing out the monopoly money to pay for it.

@@Tenebrousable I believe Andrew Yangs UBI plan works by harnessing the gains from companies who benefit most from automation, technology, etc. by implementation of a value added tax. Companies like Amazon, Google, etc. who benefit monetarily from the PEOPLE who pay taxes, however, they themselves pay little to no taxes. So I don't think his plan of paying for a UBI program involved printing money at all. I also believe that Andrew Yang is pro Bitcoin. Good day to you and yours. :)

I appreciate this dude and where his heart is at, however, like most billionaire philanthropists I can't bring myself to trust where he's coming from. Sounds like he got rich and acted like a brat and wants to redeem himself rather than fully understand the big picture and fix it. Technically speaking, Median wealth per inhabitant in France is higher than the US (100 000 € vs 66000 $) and the average frenchman still tends to spend less, consume less, be less in debt than the average american (that is something the elites don't stop blaming the french for, ie not being such a huge slave of consumerism).
