Hey, I’m a UPAR for my unit; is there a restriction on what kind of harness I can wear in uniform for my camper? I’m thinking about picking up a waste strap one - I furnish my own gear so I’ve gotta make that determination on my own.
I'd love to have this job too (but not for the German forces 😂 ) Do you have some info about this shoulder strap? I'm still looking for a good solution like straps, harnesses for carrying around cameras on the job. Great videos, thanks
This has to be completed before attending basic training as your MOS is already established. You’ll have to look into reclassing after you complete basic and AIT.
Hey! Canons are the “standard issue” (you’ll mostly find in bigger units) but it really depends on the unit. I’m currently in a ‘specialty’ unit that isn’t fielded gear, and I use a Sony A7IV that the program bought for me to use.
You certainly had a better chance of a career, as a photographer after the army. Than such dead end careers like a radio operator or cavalry scout. Try getting a job after those careers!
Sorry the Army still gives you guys Canon. haha. At least the Air Force was cool enough to give us Nikon! I should have done this back in the day before deployments.
Thank u for your service 🙌🙌
keep it up brother i really love this job
Thank you!
great job man never give up , thankyou for your service and god bless:)
Cool equipment, Cool pictures, Cool guy🔥
Man the pelican case is huge 😂 I realise it when you take out of it the backpack 🎒
Pre planning is the key
My wallet is crying that i could never afford this as a normal photographer lol, glad i signed up for this mos i ship out in less than a month!
Thank you for the info, What MOS is that and are you allowed to use your gear as well?

@@TheChiggerBug I’d think as long as it’s black or green you’d be fine.

When going through basic training, how do I apply for this position?

Fantastic video. How the kit is put together is fantastic. Are the cases issued only or are you able to purchase?
The cases that I utilize are issued and come with the case - I could purchase them on the side if I wanted to, however.
@@MikeHunnisett Where can you find the cases? Great video!
Neat❤
I’m more interested in recording than photography is that an option?
Future 46s here. Currently shooting on a sony a7riii. Do they only assign you canons?

Hi there, nice video! What type of bag/backpack do you use?
I currently use Cinebags’ DSLR/HD Backpack ☺️
@@MikeHunnisett Thanks Mike, I'll be sure to check it out 😉
what backpack is that?
This is the lowepro ProTactic.
Last time I called him Joshua he slammed the door…
Nice video
Thanks, Jonathan!

Do they purchase this stuff for you or you buy it ?
The Army purchases these kits for public affairs units and they’re then hand-receipted to Soldiers in the unit
US Military's always provides the best gear
Does the army pay for the camera/camera gear?
Yes, they provide the kit you’ll use, which may vary from this video slightly.
