At least I am so happy to fly almost the same plane. When my LS3-17 is in 15 meter configuration, winglets attached, it is identical to Stefans LS3 WL. Somehow I don't manage to do that phantastic flights of his.
An easy list of the great ambassadors of soaring: Stefan, Bruno, and Tim. Awesome video Stefan! I’m hoping to travel by glider this fall with the DG505MB. The back seat would make for lots of storage, or perhaps I’ll bring one of my kids for each leg?
Alright Stephan, Looks like Germany is littered with gliderports and Towplanes? No funny looking Schweizers. Looks like a fun vacation. Where did you get that wing tent? Is it from your Stefan brand?
@@MarkIsTiredAlwaysthat is rarely a problem, as it cooler with altitude. I have seen pilots climbing into gliders in the valley at 25°C with heavy ski dresses.
I´m flying here an old glider from 1977, which costs about 40.000 € for the complete set incl. trailer. A brand new 18 m wingspan glider with self launch propulsion, equipment incl. German VAT costs more than 300.000 €
@@SteFly The Archaeopteryx self propulsion electro glider's price as advertised on their Ruppert Composite website is CHF 108,000. Or about €112,000. Not cheap but certainly better than €300,000!
Right :D Just corrected it. I think it's not as good as in soaring conditions. I'm not fully get through the algorithm but in my understanding it needs some circles in gliding condition to get the exact wind and than calculates via IAS, TAS, heading and bearing the wind changes. But maybe some of the developers can clear this up.
Oh, the disappointment when I wake up in the morning, look in the bathroom mirror and realise that I am not Stefan Langer.

@@chrisehmke1651 I fly a Blanik L-13. Its heavy, but once its up in the air, it doesnt want to go down
Die Heimat, Dinkelsbühl, zu sehen - herrlich :) Wiedermal ein super Video
Congrats with your qualifying for the German team for the WGC in Australia. :-)
I can’t wait for part 2 🛩️🛩️🛩️
Looking forward to the reactions of the other episodes aswell 👍
Beautiful cinematography
It’s an amazing way to fly. Very quiet and calming! Must be a great feeling. It has its dangers too no doubt.
I love the LS-3!
I hope to get my license one day. The amazing how calm you are while you eat lol
Another great movie Stefan.
Appreciate your comment :)

Klasse Videos! Komme aus der Nähe von Nördlingen

Vielen Dank! Sehr cool, dann ist der Stillberghof nicht weit entfernt ;)
Amazing flight.
Stefan, du bist ein geiler Typ einfach. Mach bitte weiter so, macht Spaß dir zuzuschauen. Fliegergrüße aus dem Norden der Republik.
How do you get these things back home?
where do you find those gliders they look soo fun
Alright Stephan, Looks like Germany is littered with gliderports and Towplanes? No funny looking Schweizers. Looks like a fun vacation. Where did you get that wing tent? Is it from your Stefan brand?
At the Australian championships if you see a guy there called Paul Frisch say hi he’s my instructor
Nice :)
Thank you!
How do you buy or rent a plane like that?
Looks so nice!! How far did you travel on this one flight?
For how long can gliders glide?
As long as there is wind
Falsch, solange Thermik/
Aufwind oder Wellenbewegungen an Gebirgen funktionieren.
Nacbts bläst auch Wind, aber besser ......... nicht!
For unpowered gliders, is there air conditioning or heaters in the cockpit?
There are cockpit air vents for air conditioning. If it's cold, you better have warm clothing on, especially for the feet.
@@MyChannel-bh6scwhat if its too hot?
@@MarkIsTiredAlways Gliders usually fly quite high and the temperature of the rising air decreases about ten degrees with every kilometre of altitude.
@@MyChannel-bh6scthx for the information

What was your longest aerotow?
I can't remember exactly, but must be less than 1 hour.
@@SteFly My longest was about 500 km. Almost 4 hours, Super Cub 150, DG-300, short rope, bad weather, not fun at all...
Is LARUS wind calculation working while towing?
Should work ok, especially with the CG hook. But I was asking myself the same when I first saw my footage 😅
It's called LARUS
