if i had a quarter for every time my question was in a youtuber qna video, id have two quarters, which isnt much, but its weird that its happened twice
I am willing to bet that we'll play as Agent 4 in Splatoon 4. Maybe even "New Agent 4" lol. Congrats on 15k! You're easily my fav splattuber, keep up the great work!
Honestly I just want a judd and Lil judd story for splatoon 4. Like imagine of in splatoon 4 our gide IS Judd who gide us to find Lil judd in a abandoned human complex, it would be so cool! Also, because judd know the professor we would get more lore. Aaand yes I want to see a father-son dynamic to start between judd and Lil judd, maybe if Lil judd is the villain in the end judd could forgive him and begin take care of him. (I like judd) (Also congrats for 15k 🎉)!)
Congratz with 15K G, your content always makes me love Splatoon more and more! If I had my say in what we should play as in 4, we should play as sanitized Octolings if it were possible, but what do you think?
18:05 Congrats on 15k man! you have probably heard about the arguments for Lil Judd but to sum it up, him with Grizzco attire was found in the art book (That is the less important one since it’s outside of the game) but also after completing Alterna Lil Judd wears a ear piece and given Grizzco’s involvement in that story mode, he probably has a connection to Grizzco
Sure, but having a connection to Grizzco does not automatically make you an antagonist. They're certainly setting up something for him, but I don't see him becoming a main story mode character any time soon
Oh, if you haven't yet, since you like games where youre dropped in a world and have to learn the lore eventually id highly recommend Outer Wilds and its DLC!
Also just for funsies, the way I interpreted the fact that the Zap Fish was smaller and later on had a hair was that it was a bit like a commentary on the over explotation of resources in useless wars and how it's eventually going to affect it. That's not to evil frame the octolings or say that the inklings don't exploit the zapfish ofc, just that it seems to have been affected most in moments of true danger
12:39 techniccaly we already know his size (aproximately) and he look as big as young Cuttlefish. 23:00 I think it will be nice to have update of them along with new song but nothing more. It will hurt more the character to have off the hook and squid sister in the spotloght again since theire story is finish. 27:50 For me this suken is like a misconception like we have with the dinosaure, when people think of dinosaure they think jurassic park. Even it's very easy to find that it's wrong and inkling (etc) and human have around the same inteligence, it's still the "truth" for a lot of people
I assume the question was suggesting that he might be bigger in the present day, but yeah I probably should've mentioned the 2 literal pictures we have of him lol
50:10 here's my personal thoughts: 5: Octo Canyon. I get that when it comes to lore it doesn't do anything inherently wrong, but as a story mode in all aspects, it's so safe, boring, and by the numbers that I lowkey can't bring myself to really say anything all that good about it. Story wise, you listen to one half of a duo for basically all of the game, which just leads to Marie's dialogue feeling empty and boring. Without Callie to balance things out and provide fun back & forth, the dialogue in this campaign feels criminally lifeless. Also, the campaign has barely any cutscenes, environmental storytelling, or significant character moments in its entirety, making the overall narrative completely dull. Gameplay wise, I do not care for the 3D-platformer style the first four campaigns did. If I wanted to play a 3D-platformer, I'd play Mario. I play Splatoon because it's a good movement shooter, not just because it has good movement. OE and Alterna did them best, with much better level design and a nice hub world, but the style is definitely at its weakest here. Because every weapon needs to be able to complete these levels, they end up all kind of feeling incredibly easy and tedious. Also, 100%ing this campaign SUCKS. I don't think I should have to say why. Lastly, the music is just kind of mid, and the final boss is a joke. 2 or 3 out of 10 for this campaign, personally. 4: I never played S1's campaign, but from what I heard, it's basically just a slightly better version of the last campaign. I'll give it the benefit of a doubt, due to the fact that this was the first time Splatoon made a campaign. I guess I'll give it like a 5 or 6 out of 10. 3: Alterna, to me, is by far the best base campaign. With a stunning looking hub world that's fun to explore in, gameplay that's influenced by OE and the other base campaigns, a fantastic soundtrack, and character interactions that are actually fun and interesting (mostly because there's more than one character this time around), Alterna was a really fun experience for me. I know that the story suffers from its execution, but I'd much rather have a story that TRIES to have multiple fun and memorable characters than a story that stays exactly by book and accomplishes absolutely nothing (*cough cough* Splatoon 2). 7 out of 10 for me. 2: Side Order is vastly underrated. I am of the opinion that the story of Side Order pretty good, minus a few execution flaws. I really like how they used the fact that we are in a video game made by Marina as a great way to allow them to design environments they wouldn't have been able to before. The music is really great, and also very unique, even for Splatoon. However, the most of-note thing about SO is its gameplay. It's not perfect, but what we get is an incredibly satisfying and addicting progression system, level design that is dynamic and allows for multiple different approaches to the problem, and enemies that are actually in depth and well designed as well as a good challenge, instead of Octarians who have the damage output of a wet sock and the maneuverability of a dead fish. Overall, I can't wait to see how they expand on the idea of a Splatoon roguelike in the next game. 8 out of 10. 1: Octo Expansion. I don't need to say anything more. 9 out of 10.
I might be biased because octo canyon was my first story mode, but it's actually my second favorite campaign (second to octo expansion of course) the fact that Marie's diolgie feels like half of a duo emphasizes how much she misses Callie imo, so the scene when she finally meets her really pays off. The final battle in general is really cool to me, the combination/remix of their splatfest themes does a lot of heavy lifting for the story. Just the fact they have 2 different songs for a splatfest that separated them, and then combine again for a final boss is so cool. And Spicy Calamari Inkantation is a great final too, I still prefer it over 3MIX cuz it's just a bit too cluttered for me, and Deep Cut doesn't have a strong tie to it. I also like the kind of subtle implication that Callie did join the octarians, while its mostly outside of the game, I like the Squid Sisters Stories implication of their drifting relationship and a concept art showing Callie giving the Octos a chance. And the game (just the eng version) has her put the glasses on again during the rematch, so it's kinda there. It would be better is the relationship elements were more explicit, but I really liked it (also the music being reversed squid sisters music is SO clever)
@caramelcream8569 That's totally understandable! I do see what they were going for in S2's base campaign, and respect it. I just personally found the other campaigns I've played more compelling to me personally. I do like your point on Marie's dialogue, though. I never really thought of it like that! I'm still not a huge fan, but I do appreciate it nonetheless. Same with the reversed Squid Sisters music, that detail is genuinely really clever.
I think the old idols will continue to be a fixture of splatoon because they are real-life pop stars they have concerts and merch I think getting rid of the most popular idols will be hard because they exist outside of any game. Callie and marie will be in splatoon 4 because they are the most recognizable face in splatoon
@@saintlugia I think they’ll continue to exist in the background, maybe making music for pvp and Splatfests, but I really don’t think it’s sustainable to have them appear in every story mode. Even in Splatoon 3, I found the inclusion of the Squid Sisters to be unnecessary and frankly harmful to the storytelling. They don’t need to be forgotten entirely, but I really think it’s time to put other characters in the spotlight
44:00 sorry if this is too self promoting but after watching your video on Splatoon 3's story I made a video about my idea for a story mode and I'd love to know what you think. Its on my channel.
if i had a quarter for every time my question was in a youtuber qna video, id have two quarters, which isnt much, but its weird that its happened twice
Now we can call you 50 cent.

Shiver plays shamisen in deep cut too
49:18 also the Great Zapfish from Splatoon 1 shows up in the Splatoon 2 piranha pit
Goated vid
Kinda off topic but your splatsona looks a LOT like Fry from futurama but you’re smarter
You know... you arent wrong.
It was not intentional, but I'm glad you think I'm smarter lol

@TheCosmicCloud I don't think you'll ever sideline callie and marie they are too popular to not have them.
I wanna see a two-player single mode
Also it’s kinda canon that eventually Mr.Grizz stopped thinking and is just a statue lol
I think the ink tank weighs them down and they obviously need water to live but too much water pressure can kill them
If we see Pearl and Marina for the last time in "Side Order", I want to say this: They wasted some of their character potential :(
1:27:41 HE SAW MINE! I love smash bros
