I experienced afib because I had high tsh levels and had a ct scan and they injected me with iodine, putting me into a hyperthyroid incident. I experienced it several times soon thereafter, having become dehydrated while I also had pneumonia and was taking an antibiotic. Anyway, I figured out that I was low in electrolytes when I took some watermelon and my symptoms of the previous several weeks abated. They started to come back a few hours later so I took a magnesium supplement as well as more watermelon and a little celtic sea salt. My heart has been close to normal ever since. My question is, once you have afib, is it a permanent thing? Did it cause damage? Or can you recover fully afterwards?
Doc i am suffering from a situation for more than 3 years now..it all started with occasional fast heartrate ..but than i started experiencing a sudden jolt or a jerk can say...it is the worst feeling i have ever experienced..it feels like my heart has dropped or someone has just pulled my heart down or squeezed it ,causes a lot of pain ..it happens for a second and leaves me in shock ..i have been through every test ecg, echo , holter and all of that doctors say there's nothing wrong than why it happens.. it happened few seconds before and wakes me up ..its horrible plzz tell me what is it??

I went to my Cardiologist this week and my BP was good. I had a EKG, ECO and blood workup and no swelling. He said I was doing good, to keep doing what I was doing. What exactly does this mean, Sanjay? I know it doesn't mean I'm over it and I'm cured but is this it? Will I get worse? I wish I could talk to you. I still have NO symptoms and never had any pain in my chest. You said its progressive and that's what worries me.
I’m 22 years old and have never been to anything last a normal checkup. I am incredibly active, but I randomly pass out. It’s like my hearing goes then my eyes will be wide open and everything slowly goes dark and the rest of my body goes numb and I fall if I don’t realize it’s happening. I very quickly realize what happened almost before I hit the floor and just feel dizzy for a couple seconds afterwards, then I’m 100% fine. Happens 10-15 times a week but mostly in the early morning/evening. Any tips?
