First time I went to Church I heard this hymn and I knew my life had changed from that moment. I could feel that someone was hugging me with his infinite love and that person was Jesus who accepted and loved me. I’m so happy to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I think of this song when my best friend Carie comes to mind. She’s such a beautiful gift from the Lord and reminds all her friends to rejoice in the Lord even when things are hard. She always has a smile on her face, and it’s so heartwarming to see. I get to talk to her and pray for her every day on Facebook.
Growing up Pentecostal, we used to sing this hymn all the time and I hated it! Now, as a recent convert, I never thought I could grow to love this. Boy, how wrong I was!
I've been out of "the church" for years now but the message of this song still rings true. I no longer believe in God, but I very much believe in being grateful and noticing things that you enjoy in life that you did nothing to earn. And if you just pay attention, and maybe put a little bit of effort in, you can discover them.
It may seem impossible to think gratitude can change our lives even make us happy when all seems very much not. But with time and faith and an effort to be grateful each of us can be grateful and happy every day of our lives. Press forward with faith and confidence in god in knowing our father in heaven has faith in you to see life through. Count your blessings name them one by one count your many blessings see what God hath done. Amen
This song make me cry and think how lucky i am that im still alive specially now a days we're facing global crisis of this pandemic corona virus.. Thanks God for everything..❤️❤️
A pipe organ?????? Omgoodness! I'm so glad I found this. My mom sounded like Julie Andrews. I wish you all could have heard he's singing this song with her sweet heart and the emotional projection.
It is an intimate Thanksgiving to sing Count Your Blessings after my morning prayer & in between scripture study in English & Spanish this wonderfully cold morning in AL, USA. Buenas Dias!
Count ur blessings early morning.smile !smile is a cooling system of the heart.sparkling system of the eyes.lighting system of the face.relaxing system of the mind.so activate all these systems with your brilliant smile.bless you all my fellow beings in the universe.
