I use a 8x10 picture framed with chicken wire as the picture … it’s where I organize my stitch markers and then I can put them on display and take up little room and they are art on the wall…

Such a good reminder that we don’t have to do it all at once!
Such a great idea to put the stitch markers on a larger pin to keep themes together!

Love this! I have ADHD and have found that I need to set a timer for 15 minutes to get started on just about anything because otherwise I get overwhelmed and can't focus. It helps so much!

Makes it so much more manageable to break it down ! I get so overwhelmed when I walk in my craft room. I go in and end up shredding papers and that’s it! No more! One box, one basket and so on….

Thank you for this video. I desperately need to organize my crafts, and my yarn stash, which is really a hoard at this point. I have developed an allergy to acrylic yarn used for crochet, so that is where I will start. A senior living apartment complex a relative enjoys residing in, will be the yarn recipient, as there are many knitters and crocheters there who love free yarn. I have health problems and have felt overwhelmed, but just 30 minutes a day will eventually eat this elephant.

Thanks for the motivation! We just found a beautiful wood cabinet with etched glass doors on top and drawers on bottom for $100 on craig's list. Couldn't believe this find! I'm going to be gathering up my yarn stash, bags etc from various rooms and organizing in there - so excited! Thanks for the tips - starting this project this afternoon. Also love where you put your scappy blanket bag - looks nice there! Thanks and take care.

I appreciate the encouragement to break things down in doable steps. My husband just built me a custom closet organizer so my clothes are coming out of my craft/dance space as I put them away. I need to take this approach with the craft and dance stuff too.

I really like this. I hope I can tackle my yarn room like that sometime in the future. Now I just walk in try to find what I need (takes way to long because it is all over the place) and then quickly close the door behind me. It is to much to do all at once, so it overwhelming’s me ever time I am in the room. Your way seems very manageable so I must give it a try 😀 It’s like exercise start slow and start building your declutter muscles💪🏼🤣

Thank you for encouraging some organization. I am a hot mess when it comes to being organized. I am using a re-purposed old desk/cabinet. I found some sale Rubbermaid large food containers which hold about 6 100gm skeins each. I now have them organized by fiber & weight 👏🧶🥰. The containers are almost clear so I can turn them over when looking for something.

I have been thinking in all or nothing terms, so this is a nice and entertaining (and beautiful yarn to gawk at 😉) reminder to take it in steps. So I'll go one underbed container at a time and remove what I won't use, first. ❤️ Thanks!

I am not as organized as you, but enjoy these videos - thanks for doing them! I store my project bags vertically in my Kallux basket - kind of like they were file folders & the basket is a filing cabinet. That way I can easily see each one.

It's so funny, because my last day off I organized my fun time area as well. Just an idea but my mom made a fabric book and attached ribbon in it, in rows and I organized my progress keepers in it. I did holidays shark week, fruit, snack foods, globes etc. It worked really well and now I can just look through my progress keepers and pick which one I want to use.🙃 Thanks for all your videos I really enjoy them.

Thanks for another lovely organisation video. I really enjoy these videos. I don't really have a big stash and I try to only buy yarn for specific projects in mind, that's a way for me to not buy all the yarn just because it's beautiful. And I try to only knit stuff I will actually wear, or presents for specific persons.

Thanks for your organization inspiration. I have the same cube shelving as you. I thought of putting small legs on it so I can have a bit of storage underneath. I’m amazed at your stitch marker collection. They are so cute, like little charms. Thanks again for your video and your constant sunshine! (Kitchener, Ontario)

I just recently came across this idea of tiny sections at a time for the first time on Costuming Drama's channel. She was reorganizing her craft room and did something similar with just one or two small cabinets or drawers at a time. I have to say I really like the way your brain groups things when you organize. Mine works similarly. I am going to start doing bite sized pieces of my life this week. Thanks for the inspiration!

Okay, I had to laugh at your stash amount. Multiply that number by 6 and that is mine. I did organize it in one shot... only took about an hour. I also labeled each cubby. with the weight ( label maker is my prized gift from a friend). I also organized all my stitch markers and needles/hooks. Have been thinking about getting a coat rack to hold all my WIPs

Do you ever get rid of yarn, then weeks or months later regret letting it go because you think of a project you could have used it for?

It's interesting that the bags that you got rid of was 7, when I think have about a bit more than half of the bags, especially since I am somewhat monogamous, young, and have little space. I want to reorganize my stash, but not get rid of the yarn, it's just messy.
