Hitler wasn`t so poor after things got going he actually made in the sense of the word quite a bit of legit money especially from his book witch was about the only book allowed in the country.

IIRC, Dr. Lattimer was one of the physicians who attended the accused Nazi war criminals during their incarceration in Nuremburg, when the war crimes tribunals were underway. I believe he helped wean Goering off of his morphine addiction. As regards the lipstick case, it seems doubtful that Eva would have used it much, at least around Hitler, since Hitler did not like German women to wear lipstick, and had a strong aversion to it.

In case it is of interest. Eva Braun had two sisters, who died both without children. Her cousin, Gertraud Weisker, who spent several months with her in 1944 on the Obersalzberg, claimed in 2000, that she met Eva Braun for the last time before Christmas in 1944 in Munich, where Eva verbally promised her to give her parts of her jewellery in her testament.
But there is a catch. A court in Bavaria ruled 1956, that Eva Braun died 3 minutes before Hitler. He as her husband is therefore juridically the righteous owner of all her inheritance. The ring therefore belongs to Hitler. Germany declared after the war (but even Hitler in his own testament did so), that all his wealth and all of his belongings belong after his death to the new German state.
Therefore you had no right to sell the ring, it is properly of the German state. By German laws you committed a crime: receiving of stolen goods for gain according to the law § 259 StGB. This crime is punishable with up to five years in prison. The same goes for your buyer.
I would not plan any trip to Europe soon ….
How did they determine she died 3 minutes before Hitler. There were no witnesses to their actual suicides. They were in Hitler’s study alone at the time and only an estimated time of death of 15:30, that’s it. It’s hilarious how governments hijack belongings based on lies.

Years ago there was a giant collection of EB items for sale I didn’t buy any but now the prices would be a bargain. A GI had shipped back tons of personal items.

Guy near Cincinnati used to bring AH and EB stuff to gunshows. Often not for sale. He said it came from a GI too. Vets looting stuff from those two are not considered the same as looting the personal property of Mr. Schultz the barber or something.
