It's not as intense or energetic but it's more accurate to the plot of a Death Note than the opening. Nightmare is a great band so you should listen to their other material as well anyway

I remember loving the ambient parts with guitar playing in the back. When I first listened to this opening back then I knew it reminded me of something. When I was 11 or 12 years old I watched death note for the first time and it was there that I started to become interested in anime. Today in 2020 I didn't watch an anime as striking as death note, simply the best anime in history.
omg same thing happened to me. death note was my first anime when i was like 12 and it got me into anime (im not into it as much anymore) but ive realized this year that idc what anyone says death note is actually the best anime there is. everything from the plot to the animation and aesthetics and also the characters are so original and complex. its amazing.
