#94 Pt. 1 Digging First Stump With BXpanded Root Ripper & Trenching Bucket

  • Got to dig up our first stump with the BXpanded Root Ripper and Trenching bucket. The stump was close to other trees and the roots were tangled together. The Ripper made it easy to cut through the roots and the trenching bucket allowed me to minimize the size of hole I had to dig to remove the stump!

    Hi John! It’s good to see you playing on your tractor again! Great job with the ripper and trenching bucket. It’s interesting that the trenching bucket can hit your BH boom. My BXpanded trenching bucket doesn’t hit the boom on my Kubota. That may be because it is a larger BH and/or the geometry of it is slightly different. Great video! I’m off to watch Part 2. Thanks for sharing!

    • @LouisianaTractorworks
      @LouisianaTractorworks  4 года назад +1

      Hey DIY! Yea, that's what Ryan at BX said too! They used the same trenching bucket, just changed the mounts on it. So on a sub compact BH it will hit the boom! My fault for not remembering! lol Getting old! LOL!! Have a good one Martin and please be safe!!

      So the only thing I would say, is you have all the implements, but how often do you use each one? The backhoe on the other hand, has probably been the most useful tool ive ever owned. Coupled with the loader, you can really do a lot. I am now looking at implements, but keep asking myself how often would I each one? I would like a box blade, post hole digger, tiller etc.. but for my personal situation each of those would prob get used once a year for me. You seem to have more land than I do so your mileage may vary! Should you decide to go with a backhoe in the future, maybe you could sell the implements you don't use as often, and trade your machine.

      @@sethmeashey3219 I Have not used the rotary cutter much yet but the grass is just starting to grow but the tiller is getting a workout and the rest get used often.

      You are on to something there Seth! Each person really needs to set up their tractor too fit their needs! Some don't need a BH but will use a brush cutter and tiller more then anything. While others will need a Box and a land plane because they do more driveway work then anything else! Have a good weekend and stay safe!!
