I was today years old when I learned that a competitor is allowed to concede a match during a regional tournament…dude must’ve been next level tilted 😮
if you notice its a lose its bm but smart to leave before you show the 3rd, it was just an L in this case and he didnt want to finish the game which was cringe
@@jessicamendoza9407If you watch Lurgan’s match before this, it’s easy to sympathize with him. He had a great run and then went 0-6 in brutal fashion. I don’t think this was bad sportsmanship, more like “The universe is telling me to stop playing this game today and I’m going to listen.”
12:14 At the moment you asked there've been 3 debuffs out of 4 thrown moonblasts from Paulasha97. Two close answers: 0.37% chance if you're looking for at least 3 debuffs within 4 (in any order) 0.36% chance if you're looking at the chance of having exactly 3 debuffs within 4 throws...
Guy who is doing the math in the comments here! Each moonblast debuff is a 1/10 chance, so three in a row is a 1/(10³), aka a 1/1000 chance, or a 0.1% chance
I feel like at the very last spark from lanturn before the knockout, Altaria was in surf range in the last game. But I understand at a high stress event like that, you wanna guarantee the knockout
I ran moonblast altaria for more than a month at one point and i swear on my life i never saw an attack drop. At some point i didnt even believe it was possible anymore.
I think the damage from vigoroths counter + shielded rs put the altaria in range where thunderbolt + surf can be enough if the altaria has relatively low hp IV.
I know the three moonblast debuffs look odd but if the game uses seed RNG it’s much more likely if no one restarted their games. I’ve been theorizing this for a while but it’s not 100% consistent even though testing produces suspicious results.
Are championships always at 1500? How does that work or is that determined? Love the commentary on all of these fights. Just started really getting into PoGo PVP and it's been helpful.
Please stop saying polasha, her name might be Paula, and then whatever is that Sha that she added to it. Great commenting as always, just your pronunciation of her name it's tickling me lol

I thought you had to play it out?
I think it's just generally a sportsmanship thing to play it out, there's no real rule against top-lefting but it's kinda a bad look
if you notice its a lose its bm but smart to leave before you show the 3rd, it was just an L in this case and he didnt want to finish the game which was cringe
@@jkwashko yah I agree, showcased poor sportsmanship there :/

Never was good at math, but I believe the moonblast debuff three times in a row would be 1/1000 chance..
That’s right but unbelievable
i was thinking this too, isn’t that nuts
And then he got one as well! Insane odds haha
It was 3 out of 4, not 3 in a row
@@KevinDurantisnot Exactly, a tad bit of confirmation bias (noticing only the red lights).
4:46 seeing a reverse 2 shield flex is so crazy in a tournament

holy shit
Wasn’t three in a row though, a second moon blast was thrown after the first one which didn’t give a debuff
@@Nothing-nh4tu ah I missed that apparently, still a crazy amount of 1/10 debuffs happening
Matt had the same team of TSteinar, runner up in São Paulo. Steinar, also lost to a Magnezone user, Kanan.
The team looks so strong if it doesn't see magnezone!
@@HomeSliceHenry I played against him in round three and it really was... or I lost because I used Heatran and because he's way better than me

It wasn't, it would have been VERY close to 1HP
Shadow zone + shields = stuff made nightmares are made of
It's a crime to not love shadow Magnezone
It’s also a crime that shadow magnemite is currently not in this rocket grunts’ rotation sadge
I just don’t have one lol
You'll hate it when you need to play the Wild Charge shield mind-game 😂
Glad I have a high ranked one
Probably getting moonblast debuff is a greater feat than league champion 💀🤣
these battles are so hard to watch without tour commentary, thank you henry
Unreal luck with all those Moonblast debuffs, geez

That last game was insanely good!
The ending was so damned close, gg
Why is the biome feature disabled?
0.1% 3 debuffs in row
I really like your recap videos! 👍👍
The R&G gods did Matt dirty wit da Moonblast D-buffs😢
It’s “rng”.
It's RNG 😁
Shadow magnazone is probably the most fun great league pokemon to play I love it
I think it's 1 in 1000 for the 3 debuffs? 10%chance 10x10x10?
Crazy battles! As always enjoy these vids! ❤

Paulasha is a badass
The electionic glass cannon
shadow zone, dirge and mantine what a spicy line up
Props for running glass cannon in major tourny
when are we seeing our home slice henry sweep the champs?

They are, yes! As it's the easiest league to get Pokémon for
@@HomeSliceHenry That makes sense. Thanks for the info! Cheers.
U said spice never wins with her zone. What about doones pidgeot?
That was spice as well! Love seeing more creative strategies have success
why didn’t he go for the surf at the end there ?
Doesnt quite ko unfortunately, it would've been very close though
Magnezone just in a really good place right now from being amazing in remix to winning a regional!
shadow gallade when?
Why do they wear the headsets?
It limits crowd noise and prevents them from hearing the commentators
I figured that but was a little confused about the mic part... wondered who they communicated with :] Anyways, your videos are top notch!

Paulasha doing a cindy, so sick

Wel. Go on and explain where is this cheating. We’re all waiting

Pokemon tournaments of all formats are just ass. Same 12 mons being tossed around by people that don't have day jobs.
