- All American: Homecoming 2x05 "No More Drama" Season 2 Episode 5 Promo - SELF-CARE - When Amara (Kelly Jenrette) realizes that the student body is still reeling from recent events on campus, she gives everyone a mental health day. While everyone seems to be enjoying the activities on the quad, Simone (Geffri Maya) struggles with relaxing and finding a connection that doesn’t involve tennis. Damon (Peyton Alex Smith) is feeling insecure about his relationship with Thea (Camille Hyde), so he makes plans for the two of them, but when Thea gets a surprise visitor, things get awkward for Thea. Keisha (Netta Walker) is worried about how Cam (Mitchell Edwards) is holding up, but is commandeered by her dance professor, leaving Coach Marcus (Cory Hardrict) the opportunity to step up for Cam. Meanwhile, JR (Sylvester Powell) tries his hand at casual dating and learns something about his relationship style. Nikhil Paniz directed the episode written by Lamont Magee (205). Everyone and their mom hated Cam back in 2018-2021 when he was on the first 3 seasons of the original All American.. but ever since he became a series regular on homecoming… he a real one! He’s become much more enjoyable of a character. No one could stand Cam when he was on the original All American.. but now we fw him heavy
I loved Cam from jump. Probably because I taught youth like him so I know the tough act well. He's always been one of my favorites from AA.
The actor did an amazing job in this episode

Absolutely loved last epsiode with simone and lando i knew they were gonna hit it off! Soon as simone said “no” after he asked if she wanted to hang out with him and im glad we got lando to possibly be a love intrest and i hope damon finds his ways and takes his time with his father cant wait for next episode💛

I could not agree more with most of the comments shared, but I must admit that it is a little concerning knowing that most of the relationships in this show are being built after traumatic experiences. For instance, Simone and Lando and Thea and Damon. I just feel like traumatic experiences has the potential to confuse people emotions and make them a little impulsive especially if they didn't expect it to make it out of that situation. I don't know, that's just my point of view.
Last episode was by far the best of the entire series chefs kiss 😘

Honestly I like the whole Lando and Simone duo. Its new and a breath of fresh air for the show. Don't get me wrong I like Damon. But I feel like him and Simone are better off as friends. Just like I appreciated how they was able to allow Simone and Jordan to make amends but keep it at a good friendship level. Where they will always have love for each other but the value each others happiness more. It would have been different if Damon never sped too fast into getting with Thea. Maybe him and Simone friendship could have blossomed into more. But at this point he put himself in a confusing and difficult spot. Where he know feelings will be hurt. I felt like if he was more honest about his feelings things would be different. I know he's gonna be jealous of Lando and Simone connection. Which thats gonna come natural with him having feelings for her. But he can't really get mad cause he didn't really fully say it or make it known how he feels plus that who getting with Thea fast didn't help his situation. Plus he needs to think about how he made Simone feel her bring the last to know about him being with Thea when she got back to Bringston. I'm glad she broke it off with Jordan cause too me their relationship felt like how things are with Damon and Thea. The chemistry just wasn't fully there and they were only together based on a lie. Idk correct me if I'm wrong but thats just my whole take on things. I really hope they let Simone & Lando be a real and serious thing. Cause the chemistry between them is so passionate. Like how Jordan & Layla is.
I also hope they Ship Gabby and JR!!! They will be so cute together. And I feel like Gabby likes JR. And I hope that they can form a friendship and slowly blossom into something more. I would love to see JR in love again. I know he wanted to rekindle things with his ex. But that closure and ending of that chapter was kinda needed.
You definitely made some valid points! As of now I honestly wouldn't mind if Simone and Lando became a couple. I do wish they took the slow approach with Simone and Lando though. Also, I was really rooting for Thea and Damon, but the direction the writers chose to go with them, kind of makes me not even want them together anymore lol
@Jay Dee thank you and honestly I felt like the whole Thea and Damon duo just is awkward as hell to me. From their kissing,chemistry and dialog together just screams superficial to me. Their relationship is a prime example of 2 ppl in there world that get together and doesn't at all have much in common. But they have to prove to the world their love is real even though its one sided as hell. Damon is the 1st guy that Thea has been with so ofcourse she gonna love him more than he loves her. Plus with him knowing he been had deep feelings for Simone was a red flag for him not start anything new. And I agree they did start the whole Lando and Simone thing a lil too fast. They should have had more time spent together before they took that approach. But I still hope that their ship stays strong. I feel like they gonna make Damon pick a fight with Lando about Simone. Which he honestly can't get mad. Simone isn't Damon's gf. It's gonna be alot of conflict between those 4. I feel like at some point Simone gone later feel bad for hooking up with Lando. Cause of the mixed signals Damon keep sending her. Knowing that her and Damon shouldn't be together. At this point I feel like if they put Simone and Damon together it would cause alot of problems in their friendship. And I also feel like they will kinda clash heads especially with everything going on. If they had of started at the beginning in season 1 with them getting together it would have been better. I just don't want Damon and Simone to be the complicated Spencer and Liv story in their universe.
Hear me out, I do love the Lando and Simone duo but I don’t think the writers necessarily put them together to form a real relationship. I feel like it’ll probably only be a sneaky link. I do believe Lando might want something more, but Simone won’t consider it because of everything she already has going on, plus her confusing feelings for Damon. I do think that she likes Lando to an extent tho. The writers will definitely spin this to interrupt Damon and Thea’s relationship or spark Simone and Damon’s relationship or both and I’m here for it. It’s completely obvious that Damon and Simone are endgame. I just hope the writers drag this thing between Lando and Simone out for as long as possible. It’s cute and refreshing. Damon clearly has a lot of growing up to do and Simone doesn’t need that kind of serious relationship right now. This is what college is all about!

Ok so I didn’t think Simone & Lando were going to have sex thou. You could tell he was feeling her, and maybe he would be a potential love interest, but they skipped all that and just had sex.

At HBCUs we are tight...even cliqued up with whatever organization youre in. So that whole "teammates treating u like shit and deep rivalry" didn't happen....and the financial aid worker being terrible to them is wrong too...those workers know that students finances be funny so at any black institute of higher learning they are really supportive and helpful.....and again they are just over dramatic lol....we wuda never been like that during a bomb scare....Nate having a meltdown in the elevator because of an argument that reminded him of childhood lol...mannnn most of us are from that kinda background (as far as parents go) so THAT was NOT that traumatic for him to be actin like that lol.....they all just get on my nerves lollll but imma keep watching to see how the writers play everything out with this Damon and Simone thing although Now I like the new guy with Simone lol
