Winter Overnight Camp to Test new camping gear.

- Marc & I went overnight to a place close by. I needed to test my new gear to make sure everything works good before I head 7-8 hours away and have no way of keeping myself warm. This was a good test, as both my diesel heater failed and my fire pit ran out of propane.
It was a great way to not only break these in, but to also get myself familiar with them as well.
Thanks for watching.

Awesome weekend camping! Can’t wait to head out again
Yeah buddy, looking forward to this weekend coming up!
Great video. Glad you got the heater figured out. I also usually run mine on med / low. A tank usually lasts 2 nights. Dinner looked good.
Thanks for the tips!
Randomly saw you on the road today, Feb 28. I noticed your RUclips handle, decided to check it out. This was a great chill video, I'm definitely going to be checking out some more.
Hey Bob, that is pretty cool. Thanks for looking me up. I hope you enjoy the channel.
Good to hear the testing went well....cheers☕️👋🏻
Yes, we are going away for a few days this upcoming weekend, and I am glad to find out what works and what doesn't before we headed out. Thanks for hanging out with us Lisa
@@JendellOverland absolutely wouldn’t miss these great vids!!🙏🏻✨
Hey Johnny,
Looks like a very nice time.
I run my diesel heater just in low. The fuel and battery can last all weekend.
Cheers.
We are heading out again this weekend, I will try that and let you know what happens. Thanks buddy. Want to join us?
@@JendellOverland That would be fun. I'll DM you. Cheers.
For the fuel line hose problem mine was the same. Easy fix. Just disconnect the fuel line from the fuel pump and cut it shorter. This way there's not so much excess that the hose needs to be bent to put the cover on
Thanks for the advice, I will definitely try this tonight!
Just saw you on the 407!
Awesome, hello
Hahaha no point being cold without snow ....cool now....hi ya Johnny 👋🏻
Am I right, or am I right?
@@JendellOverland hell yeah you be right!✊🏻🎸🎶🔥it put a big ole yes sir Johnny on my face 😉😁
I have a different brand but same shape diesel heater. Mine had no fuel filter so I added one and also changed that crappy green hose to the white one which is more durable and won't bend that way so not constrict the fuel.
Good point, I think I actually have some of that white hose line at home too. I will give that a try! Thanks so much Kat!
Great video Johnny. I'll be getting a vevor diesel heater next week. I just got a jackery 1000 and I've been trying electric heaters with it lol.
Jackery 1000? You have lots of power with that set up. Let me know what you think of Vevor.
@JendellOverland I will forsure.
How many BTU's is that heater? You don't need much with such a small space. For the tubing problem just pick up a pvc splitter. When I used to fish in the winter and spend the night in the car I had two coffee cans with candles in them for my heater. Takes a while to heat up but the candles work fine....
I don't know the BTU rating but it is an 8 kw heater. I had it on high, and I was really comfortable, but I do think my tent needs some kind of liner to keep the heat from leaking out of the tent.
Funny that you mention candles. I did that as a kind in cadets when we would go camping. I remember that it took forever to warm up.
