That turnaround chord B7(#9b13) {I'm not sure what the parens mean here?} it's a bit of a stretch. But if you move the Ab on the 4th string up a whole step it still sounds very funky and appropriate and it seems a bit of an easier chord to play.
Excellent lesson, Mr. P. Very pro sounding chord voicings. I have no idea if they are what was played on any given recording, but I'm guessing that experienced funk guitarists may chord slightly differently at various times.

The parentheses mean those are optional color tones.

Thanks Johnny! There's no guitar part on the original recording, just Stevie in all his clav'd out bliss. I also don't think that Stevie is playing the #9b13 on the original recording. So this is basically just an exact recreation of the Live at Last guitar arrangement. If it's good enough for Stevie it's good enough for me ;)

lol helps to pick 'flat' or 'sharp' and stick with that designation, in this case E flat.. also if you could list the chords for each section in the description, that'd be super helpful for us trying to learn without needing to stop the video to note them down constantly, thank you! appreciate you showing them on screen, awesome otherwise
