For now it’s failing pretty bad in regarding to condensation and the tent (material) design has some flaws meaning water ingress at hard corners. Learnt a hell of a lot doing the project but in the end I ought to have bought a high end one for the money and time spent 😂👍
Great return to RUclips mate. I love this current set up you have going on, the custom roof tent looks bob on, the awning is just perfect for the Jimny and the kitchen set up is so ideal for a simple small car 👌🏼 I could tell you were using a camera this time round with the deeper bokeh shots. Great picture quality. Hopefully with a few more videos to come you’ll get the hang of it to be able to set it up quicker for each shot. Have you tried to use manual focus yet for framing still shots? This video has made me miss the Jimny camping style, will have to see what I can do with my new car and combine the two together one day to reunite 😊😎
brother! You watched it 🤩 We’ll have to do a camp again sometime soon mate. Yeah I did it all in full manual. It’s still difficult for me but I’m slowly learning. Feel like most of it is under or over exposed and if I get exposure right the focus ends up being wrong. it’s all fun and games. Won’t go back to iPhone I’ll persist! I think a different lens would help save me a lot of time. I move the camera A LOT and having only a 50mm prime lens or 24mm (I think) gets tiresome quickly. I’m hoping I can only get better. Keep watching Morinone’s RUclips channel and drooling over it 😂. Maybe one day but not anytime soon. Good to be back making stuff though and have many plans for fun short trips that might be nice to watch. Time will tell 🍻
Hi Geordie, The way you mount your little burner is such a great idea, I did manage to find the exact burner on the web, does it make a good connection with the canister, i thought the thread was slightly recessed on the canister? Kind regards Tony
Hi Tony the stainless steel top is 1.2mm and it makes a good connection as far as I’ve found. The rubber washer on the bottom helps cinch it down. Not done any gas detection on it mind 😂
@@OutThereEquipped Haha...thank you for the quick reply Sir! Lets face it, if there was any gas leak it would be minute and in the open air no problem at all :))
Small suggestion: You can place one small pole at the end under that kitchen pull over rack, which balances the weight at the top.. I have seen that type in some videos. I can check and share that link if needed. PS: I have liked your camping in Jimny for the last few years, only thing is once in a few months you are posting a video.
Hi Neil, they’re not good enough to sell. I had plans to do a build guide but that is really hard now without dismantling everything. For the amount of views it would get it’ll just add way more time to something that already was commercially insane to do. The Carbon fibre floor panel was £900 never mind all the rest 😅 and I’ve had to silicone seal it. As far as I can determine the Alu-cab lt-50 is the best option for a jimny lighter weight wedge tent.
Hi mate, build guides aren’t really my thing on the channel. I do have a blog that shows the first version slider I made with aluminium extrusion. The new one is just an iteration of that. Not sure it’s the most cost efficient way of making these but it’s the easiest to avoid welding and sheet metal bending. It’s basically aluminium extrusion 20/80 and heavy duty sliders bolted on. Two quick questions if I may? WHERE is that location? It looks stunning! I hope it’s Brockwell again because that’s not that far from me! 😂 How are you finding the EB55? How long does it power your fridge for? Cheers
Hi Michael, yes it is. Best place for natural no facilities camping. I couldn’t run my kit or make videos without the EB55. It keeps my iPhone, Sony batteries, fridge and LED lights going for a few days of usage. If I use car charging and solar it’ll top off to 100% quite quickly. I think there’s newer ones now but this just works.
@@OutThereEquipped I really should get myself along there in my Amarok sometime, I’m only in a Whitley Bay, so not far at all! That’s great to hear about the EB55. Really nice gadgets and DIY! Regarding the stove, given that there is the metal board between the gas canister and the burner, how do you ensure there is no gas leakage? Usually there is a washer in the burner to seal it but in this setup it us not the case. Any gas leakage is dangerous.
Hi cheers it’s been good fun making it all. The rubber washer is still sandwiched between the canister and the stainless steel worktop. It’s only 1.2mm thick and cinches down tight.
@GeordieJimny I see. However, just be careful of gas leakage through the thread area of the gas burner which attaches to the canister. Threads do not seal perfectly and the gasket usually seals that area too when burner is connected directly to the canister. On another note, great videos. I dream of having a Jimny one day to be able to mod and camp out over here too.
By the way I’m working with a jimny camper hire company in the north east. We’re about to start building their 1st jimny camper (better than mine!) www.fieldtripsupplies.com
Love the content, looking to get a Jimny XL but I’m 6’6 so hoping I fit. Your vids are the inspiration. I have to ask, what watch are you wearing in this video? It looks perfectly up to the task and a proper watch!
Hi mate! So busy with my work. Poor little Jimny’s sitting parked up mostly these days. Sign of the times that disappearing to the woods to sit and do nothing is a luxury one can’t afford the time to do 😂 Hope life is being good to you!
Hi I’m in England and would love to go camping but the more I read up on it the more it looks frowned upon are these camp sites or is this wild camping ?
Hi there, yeah I don’t wild camp with this kind of setup. I book campsites with wildwithconsent.com or www.offgridcamp.co.uk there are other private campsites dotted around.
Hi Nakul, I’m in the north east of England at a woodland owned by a farming family who hire campsite plots to people for ‘back to nature’ style camping.
@@OutThereEquipped does it last the whole day? I was planning on getting alpicool D30 + Ecoflow but havent decided which model i should get. Love the Slimline kitchen too. You got the plans for it?
Hola pienso que te será útil un poste que de soporte al extremo de la cocina, no será más que un poste de soporte, liviano, no ocupará mucho espacio. Me gusta tu canal Gracias
@jasonmananquil8040 cheers mate. It’s nice stuff to work with. Check out headway drives playlist for his build. I took most of my initial ideas from that ruclips.net/p/PLH8IITpMKwMSfUvj_yEwOs7bgS4T1odR-
Hi Nathan, the pouch is from First Tactical called Tactix. The coffee is in screw top test tubes inside of a shotgun molle pouch. There’s lot of variations online of those. Hope this helps
I think there’s is way better 😅👍 I got a lot of inspiration from Headway Drive channel, who got his from another channel. All just iterations with a few little improvements along the way. When I have the time and budget I’ve got a lot of improvements to make for a version 4 of my own attempt. Financially I’d be better off buying one though, making one is very inefficient cost wise.
Hi. Unfortunately it did not stand up to the elements after its first winter on the car. Some design issues causing water ingress. It also suffered from bad condensation. I’ve since dismantled it and bought a tent.
It’s quoted 40kg by some Suzuki garages. Ultimately every jimny that uses the roof in a typical way for tents, awnings or even just the full rack (with stuff carried on it), exceeds the manufacturer’s roof limit. It’s not uncommon to see people carrying upwards of 90kg roof load. It’s all at the owners risk. Personally after 3 years of ownership I find anything under 60kg with the upgraded suspension, drives perfectly well. I would obviously not do crazy off road tracks with any roof load at all. I don’t do it doesn’t matter. 👍
It seems unnecessary to use your lamps when it is daytime, as well as using wood to keep the fire burning all the time. I think that part of going out into nature, in addition to apprehending it, is to encourage saving resources and caring for them.
The camera shows everything a lot lighter than it is to me while I’m there. It’s a commercial campsite that sells the firewood to fund their tree planting scheme. Thanks for watching 👍
I congratulate you for the peace that you transmit yo us. Thanks for coming back. Grettings for Argentina.

Thank you! I’ll make sure it’s not leaking 👍
By the way I’m working with a jimny camper hire company in the north east. We’re about to start building their 1st jimny camper (better than mine!) www.fieldtripsupplies.com
so many questions. sorry. did you make the patches for the first tactical bags?
I did mate yeah. I’ve an leather crafting Etsy store but I don’t make these on the store
@@OutThereEquipped thanks. You should for sure. They would sell well as there are so many packs like it with Velcro
Love the content, looking to get a Jimny XL but I’m 6’6 so hoping I fit. Your vids are the inspiration. I have to ask, what watch are you wearing in this video? It looks perfectly up to the task and a proper watch!
Thanks for watching. There’s good headroom in the jimny. Hopefully the seats accommodate you at 6’6 👍
P.S. the watch is a brand called VAER
@@OutThereEquipped thank you, I sat in one today, just need a test drive now!
where have you been my friend? good to see you again.
Hi mate! So busy with my work. Poor little Jimny’s sitting parked up mostly these days. Sign of the times that disappearing to the woods to sit and do nothing is a luxury one can’t afford the time to do 😂
Hope life is being good to you!
Nice set up! Do you make and sell rtt? I need something light like your rtt..
Hi there. I did make it yeah. 😆
Do you have close up of the Liquor dispenser in the back of the truck.
Hi Brett, here you go ruclips.net/user/shortsWgd1vTvJLLo?si=cU-6LgOoDHTkXjww
Is that tent frame made from aluminum extrusions? Asking becuas eim planning out my own build and just trying to get ideas
Hi yeah it certainly is. 👍

@@OutThereEquipped спасибо большое вам:)
Hi Geordie, from which country and city this camping location of yours is. I'm curious to know
Hi Nakul, I’m in the north east of England at a woodland owned by a farming family who hire campsite plots to people for ‘back to nature’ style camping.
Hey Geordie, what’s name of window cover? Please tell me brand name of window cover??
Hi it’s the explore glazing overlander explore-glazing.com/en/products/suzuki-gj-explore-overlander-light
Oh hold on, I thought you meant the gullwing window I’ve recently fitted. What window cover are you referring too mate?
@@OutThereEquipped I mean I saw slept in Jimny and you covered all jimmy window, windshield for seeking not lights enter.
veri good
Manufacturer of the folding wooden table? Thanks
I got it in Costco funnily enough. Doesn’t have a brand written in it unfortunately 🤦🏻♂️
hey there! how do you power your fridge?
Hi, with a Bluetti ~500wh power station
@@OutThereEquipped does it last the whole day? I was planning on getting alpicool D30 + Ecoflow but havent decided which model i should get. Love the Slimline kitchen too. You got the plans for it?
Missed the videos. Regards from Brazil
Thx 😊 🙌🏻
How much were the carbon floor sheets?

Hola pienso que te será útil un poste que de soporte al extremo de la cocina, no será más que un poste de soporte, liviano, no ocupará mucho espacio. Me gusta tu canal Gracias
Hi 👋
I was going to do that but the weight bearing is 226kg on the main slide and 50kg on the end slide 💪😎
👍
did you made that RTT yourself? cheers
Hi Jason, yeah. Based on other people’s aluminium extrusion diy tent builds, except I focused on lowering weight and height when packed away.
@@OutThereEquipped mate i like your style. im in the process of studying that extrusion thing. cheers mate
@jasonmananquil8040 cheers mate. It’s nice stuff to work with. Check out headway drives playlist for his build. I took most of my initial ideas from that ruclips.net/p/PLH8IITpMKwMSfUvj_yEwOs7bgS4T1odR-
What weight and closed dimensions of tent
42kg - 2004mm x 1346mm x 100mm
Saúde , Brazilian cheers.....

Spill the beans (pun intended) but whats the pouch and container setup your coffee was in?
Hi Nathan, the pouch is from First Tactical called Tactix. The coffee is in screw top test tubes inside of a shotgun molle pouch. There’s lot of variations online of those. Hope this helps
Did inspired overland rip this off?
I think there’s is way better 😅👍
I got a lot of inspiration from Headway Drive channel, who got his from another channel. All just iterations with a few little improvements along the way.
When I have the time and budget I’ve got a lot of improvements to make for a version 4 of my own attempt. Financially I’d be better off buying one though, making one is very inefficient cost wise.
@@OutThereEquipped well atleast you're learning in the process, and you can always improve it.
What year is that jimny? 2019? I gotta wait till it's 2035 before I can get one
Bought it in 2019 yeah :)
They’re often available on the used market in the UK or the new LCV version. Not sure the wait times though
🎉🎉
Salud!
🍻☺️
are you going show a how to make video?
Hi.
Unfortunately it did not stand up to the elements after its first winter on the car. Some design issues causing water ingress. It also suffered from bad condensation.
I’ve since dismantled it and bought a tent.
👍j'attends les détails de la tente de toit. 🤙🇫🇷🇨🇱🐻
Working on it. Won’t be a build guide just a closer look at each element. A blog will talk about the build guide 👍
@@OutThereEquipped yo! Many thank. 👍👍🙏🏻🍷🇫🇷🇨🇱🐻

What pants are you wearing please?
Hi they’re GP Trousers from revolutionrace.com
❤🔝💯
Hi mate! 😊
jimnys has only 30kg roof weight capacity (roof rack included)
It’s quoted 40kg by some Suzuki garages. Ultimately every jimny that uses the roof in a typical way for tents, awnings or even just the full rack (with stuff carried on it), exceeds the manufacturer’s roof limit. It’s not uncommon to see people carrying upwards of 90kg roof load. It’s all at the owners risk. Personally after 3 years of ownership I find anything under 60kg with the upgraded suspension, drives perfectly well. I would obviously not do crazy off road tracks with any roof load at all. I don’t do it doesn’t matter. 👍
Thats looking the dogs b’s
😆👍
It seems unnecessary to use your lamps when it is daytime, as well as using wood to keep the fire burning all the time. I think that part of going out into nature, in addition to apprehending it, is to encourage saving resources and caring for them.
The camera shows everything a lot lighter than it is to me while I’m there.
It’s a commercial campsite that sells the firewood to fund their tree planting scheme.
Thanks for watching 👍
Brother, can you fit in that tent? you're bigger than the car
Yeah. Would have been better 100mm longer but it’s fine
