My sister had post polio syndrome. She got sick in 1948. My mother was frantic with fear and she now had other children that she worried about. In 1955 my mother lined her children and we became one of the first polio subjects vacinated in the United States. The subject of polio was never mention in my home of orgin. But it hung like a silent black shadow over our household. As the years went on my sweet sister developed many physical problems. And she complained of pain. Her left leg was stunted. Finally 2018 she died in her bed of natural causes. I was so grateful finally my beloved sister was no longer in pain. The polio epidemic that took place in the 1940's and 1950's were not a joke. Anyone who is not vaccinating is not being a responsible parent.

And some parents home school their kids so they don't have to vaccinate them! It's fucking sick !!

Amen. The only people that are truly educated are the ones who see the diseases themselves. Just like covid

Not vaccinating your children is like not using a car seat, not baby proofing your home, and not locking up your guns. I know, my older sister had Polio and I spent my entire childhood seeing the ravages of it firsthand, as we made endless trips to Georgia Warm Springs for her many checkups, surgeries, and fitting of braces and crutches which had to be replaced as a child grows. It’s a terrible burden on a family psychologically, financially, and spiritually.

Vaccines are poison. I would never inject my son with that stuff. I think that people who poison others should be imprisoned especially if you are hurting children.

@@JSBecc i haven’t been vaccinated since I was 6 and I don’t allow my son to get government mandated injections or any poison injections and we are just fine. In fact we get sick a lot less than vaccinated
I noticed in multiple instances. In fact dozens of instances that when people inject those poisons then they usually get sick the same exact day and sometimes within 1-2 hours of the government enforced poisons.
My friend got sick 2 times right after all the while I was healthy the whole time

My mother’s best friend got polio in 1947 at age 23. She was newly married and had just moved into a new home. She managed to stay out of the iron lung, but her left leg became contracted.

Schools, nurseries and colleges should all have to insist on proof of vaccination by law to make the decision not to vaccinate children much harder as parents would have to homeschool!

The is good reasons why parents chose not to vaccinate. My uncle had polio he is still alive and none of the other 5 children caught it. My son got his 1st shots and damned near died. After that MY child will NEVER get ANY vaccinate until he is an adult.

At the gym that I go to there is a gentleman that contracted polio when he was 4 years old, and he has been in a wheelchair ever since. He has told me all about his struggles growing up. But he also said that it has never held him back.

hard to forget polio even though im only 29 now. my mom said she went to visit my family in Brazil and there was a polio survivor there from before the vaccine came out. she had twisted little legs and could barely walk. my grandpa always told me stories about how scary and fucked it was too.

And instead of having to go to a doctor and spend like 100 $ or so Schools make it a need to get vaccinated for free if you haven’t gotten vaccinated yet wich in my opinion is a much better decision than letting people think not vaccinating is better than getting vaccinated
