After install the soft closed, does it change the configuration of the jump leads to open the frunk with the 9 volts battery in case when the battery goes bad ?
Hi mate..Sorry but you don’t need to push down on the frunk! You just need to let the hood down softly and shud suck it in ( soft closes) so there’s either something wrong with the unit you installed or you’ve probably installed it incorrectly! Otherwise there’s no point of having this installed. Mine works perfectly without having to push down at all!
Hello there, thank you for sharing your experience on the soft close unit. During the installation process, it was checked several times and proven to be installed correctly. Could it be the unit having issues, it could be. However, you're correct though, the unit SHOULD sense that the hood is there and automatically pull down and latch the hood.
I reckon it could have been installed a tad bit lower than the OEM latch and the sensor is not detecting the weight of the hood on it so may be try adjusting the unit to see if that works!

I do not believe so. You do have an additional jumper for the soft close device itself.
Great video 😊

@@nishagopinath8514it's worth a try!
Reduce the tension could cause someone damage their finger by accident while try to lift up the frunk
Thank you for your input. You might be right.
