  • A review of the Pelikan M200 fountain pen in Golden Beryl with a stainless steel Extra Fine nib. The wonderful in is the Jacques Herbin Vert Atlantide and the paper used is standard Rhodia Dot Pad 80gsm.

I do have the Smokey Quartz with F nib. I purchased my Golden Beryl with a B nib to accommodate the glitter particulates in the Golden Beryl ink without clogging.

I'm a Pelikan fan, but not the 200. There's nothing wrong with the 200. It's a very good pen, but as you say, it is a small pen, and I'm really much more comfortable with larger pens. It may sound silly, but I also like wet fine or wet medium nibs, and I just seem to control these better with larger pens. These two factors just mean I need larger, heavier pens. Another factor is posting. Posting is primarily an American thing, and it probably stems from growing up using ballpoint pens with tiny caps that could easily be lost. I never, ever post a pen unless it's a true pocket pen that has to be posted.

This pen and ink combo looks amazing!! I really like the m200 series - the nibs are so fun to write with. I don’t comment all the time but I really enjoy your videos!!

Great pen and I have the Pelikan Edelstein Golden Beryl ink in it. Truly a stunning combination

Great review! I'm definitely a Pelikan fan. I have a couple of M205's. I did replace one of the nibs with a gold nib; yet find myself reaching for the one with the steel nib more. 😄 I'm enjoying your videos!

Great review! I have several Sailor pens (slim) and never thought about checking out this pen. I am now officially interested! 😊

Thank you very much for the interesting video!
I have three Pelikan pens an M200, M400, and M800 Souverän. They are excellent writers, but I must say the M200 is too small for me, even the M400 is a little problematic, the M800 is a quite different story because the piston is made out of metal ... the nib is stellar!
