Yes, BxMxC is on the new album - but you won't find it on the international release, it and one other track (up down left right BBAB) are Japan exclusive tracks only to be found on the Japanese domestic release of the album. It was a very pleasant surprise they had it on the set list throughout the European tour in February and March, it's a great live song - and there were a lot of people who didn't think they would or could play it live ... they were wrong. ⚡ / 🕶️ 🎤 🍗 Based on the songwriter and the lyrics, 'BxMxC' probably stands for "BABY METAL CYPHER". There's no confirmation that the title stands for "Bring Moa Chicken". So lets not all spread that as a rumor. : ) They talked about this song in a recent interview in PMC, a Japanese magazine. SU-METAL: That was my first rap experience. For most of my recordings up until now, I would sing “la la laa” to create a sort of vocal line, and then lyric writing began based on that. (Typical J-Pop recording has the session singer record demo vocals once the arrangement, lyrics and melody are finished. Then the group uses that demo as a guide to do their recording. BABYMETAL doesn’t record in the J-pop style, they do it like a rockband.) SU-METAL: But it was different for this track, they had a backing track and lyrics, and then told me to try rapping. So at first I was still trying to figure it out. In hiphop they call it…it was like…ah, I forget! MOAMETAL: Wasn’t it…f-…fall? SU-METAL: Uh…what was it… KOBAMETA: Flow? SU-METAL: Flow! (laughs) To get a feel for the flow, I made a lot of different attempts to figure out what would be good. Like how to descend and ascend in pitch, and which timing would be the best to try the pitch changes. Even for the same phrase I’d try going a little ahead of the beat or a little bit behind it, while keeping the whole track’s balance in mind.
The live performance of this song has taken my resepct for Su to a new level. You'd think that it would take a 250 pound black rapper in chains to represent this convincingly (sorry for the stereotype), but her moves seem absolutely legit. She is incredible!
Just last week I watched half of yours BM reactions, so I'm glad too see some new one :) This song is definitely my favorite from their last album. Proof that BM can still surprise us with something unexpected. And Su is just unbelievably amazing ;)
This is a Japanese exclusive off the newest album. And yes, I bought the high quality version from a Japanese site to add to Spotify instead of using a compressed ripoff and it was totally worth it. One of their best songs once I listened to it a few times.
Newest iconic Babymetal image right at 5:13- 5:15 Mark in there where mower has her hands on her hips in that deep lean back very cool picture. This whole new album has grown on me like I did not expect even the two Japanese only releases I like bbab a lot too.but Starlight shine Nite Nite burn shanti man just a whole lot of good songs in the album when you listen to it in its entirety Flows really well. 🍅💀🤟
Saw them live in Feb - just before the world locked down - and the reaction to this song took the roof off. 4:24 - Su killing it and being all gangsta and shit! Gotta love her. I think the guitars were tuned to...the 7th circle of hell or something. Only fan cams available at the moment of this great song. We still remember your chills at Road of Resistance! Nice to see you're still doing some Babymetal and found Bandmaid too.
