The level where you were given the flingza roller probably would have been easier if you knew about vertical flicks. Basically rollers flick in a straight line if you are in the air when you use them. And the Flingza's whole gimmick is that while it's horizontal flicks are short and fast, it's verticals are longer and slower. Also funnily, the Squiffer is one of my long time favorite weapons in the series and even I struggle with the levels they stick it in. It's the issue of they're giving you a tool that's not as well suited for the level as a way of upping difficulty.

18:04 With. Motion. Controls. It is the ONLY aim correction available in-game that is compareable to Mouse and keyboard elsewhere. Use the sticks for big main aiming movement and motion to fine-tune the aim after.

@@cosm1220 Squiffer is actually my main weapon. Took me a year of training with it but I got really good after a while. Can usually avg around 10-11 kills per match unless my aim is garbage that day. Keep training with it and it'll totally be worth it!
As someone with with a combined ~250 hours in splat2 and 3, this videos was definitely entertained me. After Alterna without motion controls is insanely impressive.
You compared splatoon tilt controls to "that mario kart group that uses tilt controls" which I thought was interesting because the motion controls are probably one of the most important aspects of gameplay. They give you precision that you can't get easily with stick controls, and the game turns it on by default because they know it would be beneficial for you to learn it early. I did the same thing that you did, only I started with Splatoon one. It was only about less than a month ago in a Splatoon 2 ranked match that I realized I was never gonna get better using stick controls, and when I turned on motion, it was really hard for me to get used to, (I basically had to learn to aim all over again) but I've never been better at the game Edit: I'm not saying that they're absolutely necessary, in fact you may not even have trouble without them when playing in a casual environment, I just strongly recommend them, as they'll give you an early edge over your peers. (Peers as in players who have a similar multiplayer level, as you'll most often queue with them.)
I wish you luck if you try Splatoon 2’s campaign. There are seven or eight weapons. And you have to use them for EVERY. SINGLE. LEVEL. I’ve tried it. But gave up after five or six weapons. Since the levels just became boring. Since they are far less replayable than the Splatoon 3 levels
Can I recommend putting the motion controls back on? It really helps with aiming and a lot of other stuff you might need to get used to it but yea it WILL REALLY HELP!

Technically this wasn't 100%. I still don't know why people who played the last game didnt start learning motion before this came out so they gained a competitive advantage. Its genuinely so much easier and better. Also a tip for the last part in the secret level when fighting the octolings, most likely you probably have little buddies damage upgrade unlocked just use him he is a one hit to them and it makes it so much easier when fighting from far away so you don't get messed up by their specials and all that
