I run a small production company and I installed an HK Elements system in a local church and they loved it. It has a very clear warm sound, good dispersion and feedback rejection, really well built and very portable. In my current setup I have an EV ETX 8kW PA which is epic sounding for rock gigs but it weighs 200 kilos os I'm buying 2 Polar 12 systems for smaller gigs and probably 2 more for dry hire. I Iike the Bose systems for lite acoustic gigs but the HKs project so much better... just a bigger sound...chest oomph indeed but very controlled! And the price point of the Polars is exceptional! Thank you! 😁👍
I had the pleasure of mixing on these for a week. I’m an 18-year Engineer, and honestly, I was completely blown away with this small array and what it’s capable of. It doesn’t make sense that such a small and simple design can deliver sound so rich, full, and adrenaline-inducing! If anyone reading this is in the market for a small array system, you can stop looking. The HK POLAR 12 is totally UNTOUCHABLE!
HK you guys are awesome! I just used my polar 10’s this weekend and they were very impressive. The sound was wonderful and not fatiguing. I had a couple of audiophiles in my crowd that approached me to tell me how good my system sounded. Keep up the good work!

I own a hk audio lucas smart back from 2007 and it's still sounds fantastic for the size they have, people coming home I play music and the can't believe the power this little thing has, hk audio very quality products I guess I have to save money....

I have RCF EVOX 12. And HK LUCAS Nano 300 that I actually use as a monitor or second system. Now I’m seriously considering these for events that don’t require the EVOX 12. The quick connect columns look well made and I’m already familiar with the HK quality.
I was sceptical about these. At that price point they seemed too good to be true. Found a place 2 hours away that had them to test and drove there today. Compared them with LD Maui 11 G3 which I was also looking at. Thought these sounded better. Much more low end and tighter, better mids. Played a range of stuff and was impressed. Ended up buying 2. They are probably surplus to my needs but nice to know I’ve headroom there if needed. It’s a tidy package with the cases and all included and a 5 year warranty to boot. My only gripe so far is not being able to pair both speakers to Bluetooth at the same time in stereo. Maybe you can do this but I haven’t figured it out yet and the manual is pretty ambiguous in this regard. Looking forward to giving them a good spin but very happy with them so far. I found researching these speakers particularly hard, there was a lot of opinions (likely from people who never heard them) saying they are just cheap Chinese speakers rebranded and because of this they are bad. A rep from HK confirmed in their facebook group that these are designed in their HQ in Germany and manufactured in China to keep costs down. They’ve been transparent about this and the label says built in China like countless other brands do also so as to keep costs down and transfer that value to the customer. “Made in China” ain’t what it used to be and certainly is not inferior quality. China have some of the most sophisticated production facilities in the world at the min. It’s like the whole USA Fender vs Japanese Fender that happened in the 80’s and 90’s. I’ve owned both and I’d take the Japanese ones over the variable quality of the USA ones any day. Anyway if you get a chance go hear them for yourself and make your own mind up.
Bought one 2 weeks ago, i was searching a sound system for my Electronic drum, at home, i tried it in my deliver store, with hearing sounds like sceptic flesh, wich is a band of death metal with orchestra, to hear all frequences, didn't expect that, my sailer tokd me it was perfect for my Electronic drum, i won't tell the brand of this drum, but clearly, those who Made those drums, don't have the sound system to go in infrabass like this one!! Hi. I have the polar 12. Took It to a gig other night.. couldn’t get much sound out with it on line settings manual said however when I put it to mic setting it came alive.

My band just picked up one but haven’t had a chance to test it yet. The guys at the local music store said they would work. Will update here when I’ve had a chance to test them
You can run in stereo no problem but dont think you will be able to control the subs separately at the mixer. They have a seperate dial on the unit but I dont see how you could do it from the mixer? The mixer certainly helps with sound due to having pre amps and better eq control when paired with your Polars.

However, neither on your official website nor in the information manual, when reviewing the technical specifications of these systems, I find only the declared power of the 2000 W Class D amplifier. How do I guess this is the peak power of this system? Could it be possible to capture the power of RMS in these systems?
Germans know how to make some audio equipment. This is the future of speakers everyone, line array. You would do better to buy a pair of these than some of the crazy priced pair of speakers out there. It's nice these are 3 way speakers, and 3 way speakers are the best way to go. HK offers 5 year warranty on these speakers. impressive.
These specifically are designed by HK in Germany and built in China. They’ve been pretty transparent about this as far as I can see. Have you heard them?
If I want to add an active subwoofer, how do I connect best? Going with the signal first into the sub and then to the Polar? or going with signal into Polar and use the System Out?
It depends on the sub, if you would take a Linear 5 MK2 115 Sub A for example, then go in to the sub first and use the DSP out for the polar. That way you can time align both.

I have a pair of both! The J8's are solid sounding and a bit lighter in weight. However, the plastic sub cabinets are known to crack on the top corners. Its just cosmetic but for the price, I expect better. Sound wise, the Polar 12, are notably better. Bass response is tighter, mids and highs are clearer and sound more natural. I have used and or heard most the column arrays on the market, except the new Bose L1 pro lineup. Can say with confidence, the Polar 12 is the best column array for the price. Great features, easy to use, top notch build quality. 5 year warranty, comes with padded cover and bag for the tops. Cannot beat the value really.
I have both the Polar 12 and the J8, personally I think the Polar12 is better. The only problem I have with the Polar 12 is it clips too easy compared to the J8. The J8 is not as loud as the Polar 12 but it's a lot more convenient for me as a mobile dj.
i have a whole 5 piece band, complete with electronic drums, bass guitar, guitar synthesizer,/guitar, keyboard player and four of us sing. My question is, would two of the Polar 10 systems be enough power to handle all of our sound, for medium sized rooms to big rooms?
I mixed three bands site unseen straight out of the box for a wedding this past Saturday. The only problem I had was an internal limiter. I use old school QSC EX and MX series amps on my rig and move a ton of air normally with a Behringer XR18R. I got the HK12 dialed in quickly but,couldn't really push it due to the limiter.It sounded good for what it is.I was looking for a setup video and landed here.✌

Hi, the Polar Series does not come with an integrated reverb, our tip would be to use one of the many reverb stomp boxes out there, depending if you want it for voice or instrument there are numerous options :)

Bought 2 and one stopped working after 2 weeks of church use, it powers on but no sound coming out of it. The worst part is no one wants to touch it to fix it.
@@lovedrumandbass they have one approved repair shop in the States, after paying for shipping out of pocket and waiting almost 7 months they want to charge me $900 for the repair, stay away from this company.
These systems are distributed in Canada by Yorkville Sound and they are quite literally one of the best companies of the 40 or so franchises I own, sell, and represent for easy, fast, cost free warranty replacements of all products that they sell to us dealers and end users. Not that they are problematic at all. My best seller hands down like 3+ years running. No other brand is as good and if it is its double or triple the price. I've yet to find a better column array for value or sound.
@@CNick75 we decided not do include reverb. Most musicians would use external FX pedals for vocals and often harmonies, and different ones for instruments, so it would be impossible to include all.
I was wondering the same ... currently own the EV30 and they "peak" / "limit" WAY too easy unfortunately especially with bass heavy songs. Deciding now between upgrading to the EV50 or these (which I do not know much about) ... the HK is definitely a better price point and quite possibly better overall speaker. Did you end up getting either?
I also own a pair of EV 30M's and they do peak easily. I heard the HK Polar 12's during spring break at my job and they are frickin solid! Like I'm gonna invest in a pair. It can handle the pressure.
@@renerodriguez1876 Im personally very happy with the polar 12 pair i have. Have used them at 8 gigs now. No issues, great sound, bass is punchy, not hitting the limiter, amp stays pretty cool too. Overall i have no complaints at all.
do not buy . unfortunately the entire upper part of the system is made of plastic. at some frequencies the vibration of the subwoofer makes the plastic vibrate and we hear the music with slight cracks.

...except they didn't make them! They are made in China by Sound King, try to look up Sound King Artos 1200 and see the likeness.

I can’t see any of these compact array systems moving enough air for a live band situation.

@@CNick75 we decided not do include reverb. Most musicians would use external FX pedals for vocals and often harmonies, and different ones for instruments, so it would be impossible to include all.
Polar 12 or Evolve 50 m ???
I was wondering the same ... currently own the EV30 and they "peak" / "limit" WAY too easy unfortunately especially with bass heavy songs. Deciding now between upgrading to the EV50 or these (which I do not know much about) ... the HK is definitely a better price point and quite possibly better overall speaker. Did you end up getting either?
I also own a pair of EV 30M's and they do peak easily. I heard the HK Polar 12's during spring break at my job and they are frickin solid! Like I'm gonna invest in a pair. It can handle the pressure.

Is polar 12 better than LD 28 G2, EV Evolve 50, Turbosound ip2000?
I can say with confidence better than evolve 50. The EV's seriously lack in the low end compared to Polar 12.

@@renerodriguez1876 Im personally very happy with the polar 12 pair i have. Have used them at 8 gigs now. No issues, great sound, bass is punchy, not hitting the limiter, amp stays pretty cool too. Overall i have no complaints at all.

do not buy . unfortunately the entire upper part of the system is made of plastic. at some frequencies the vibration of the subwoofer makes the plastic vibrate and we hear the music with slight cracks.
