THE ONLY BAD THAT HAS NEVER RECORDED A SHITTY SONG EVER. EVERY SONG EVERY ALBUM THEY GET BETTER THEN THE LAST. Jason's lyrics. Let's just say he is the Eminem of the punk/rawk /Rock and roll genre. Almost on the level of jethro tall. Or steely Dan. Really deep confusing yet everyone can relate to lyrics. With at least always one sing along chorus..most of their songs relate to a certain moment and evoke strong emotions. Like no other band has I have been a fan since the second I herd suburban teenage.wasteland blues.. Every album every performance gets better. Over the 23 years I feel like they are apart of my DNA.
I love strung out. Totally one of my top 5 bands all time, but Jason Cruz is just awful live. Horrible. I can’t listen to a live video for more than ten or twenty seconds before having to shut it off.
Going to have to agree. The music is played perfectly but Jason's voice never sounds good live on the videos I've seen. The Montreal DVD is particularly bad. The live album is too notch singing though.
They really need to start down tuning their songs to make things a little easier for Jason. He's getting on in years and with the way he strains to hit those highs he's going to fuck his voice sooner or later. Gotta give him credit though, he'll run through a wall for a show even if it sounds rough. Just the way he is.
so amny of these old bands that are still going their singers have lost their voices and don't sound too good live now a days Joey Cape from Lagwagon is the perfect example and Milo from the Descendents is another that loses his voice quite often along with Trevor Keith from Face To Face . I saw all these old Fat & Epitaph in their early and prime stages back in the 90's and they were always good.

Yeah, it´s too hard to sing.

Jason sucks live.

Juan D Estrada For the most part. I’ve seen him shine many times live though.
I was up on stage for this, the fucking adrenaline was real, best band of the entire week!
