They didn't, it's designed for older devices, not newer ones, it's just not optimized anymore

Well the project finally launched! It's on the Meta Quest (standalone) and even runs smooth on the Meta Quest 2!

Yes, this footage was captured on a Quest 2. It's a blast! We also plan on doing a mobile version.
