This is great! Consider yourself lucky if you get to see all of arenal volcano. We were there for a few days and the clouds were covering the top everyday. Still breathtaking though! Try to visit rio celeste on a day it isn't raining. The color turns mostly brown when there is a lot of rain. I would recommend doing a night hiking tour at least once. It provides an excellent opportunity to see some beautiful nocturnal species! I'd also highly recommend nauyaca waterfalls. 😍

@@beforeyougotravel Yet here I am, on the other side of the globe, watching this video in preparation for my trip in July. Maybe I am not your target audience then? 1)Not only 'americans' travel to Costa Rica. 2) The world is much bigger than 'americans'. 3) The entire planet except 'americans' use metric. 4) I simply stopped watching this video and found another video that expressed heights and distances in metres and kilometres, units that I could understand and representative of what the signage is Costa Rica actually is . . .
@@beforeyougotravel Perhaps if you included metric when expressing measurements you wont limit your audience only to us Americans then? Might be worth considering as we are unique in not using and understanding metric but in my travels I have realised literally every other country does, even England though they have a mixed-up crazy system over there. They use miles for the roads but everything else is metric in the shops, construction, schools, museums, pumping their gas etc.
@@TRPGpilot @peterwalker4510 Thank you both for your comments and suggestions. Firstly, we did not mention 'target audience'. We only mentioned that our current audience is mostly Americans (without planning). Secondly, our first 20 to 40 videos had a mixture of both imperial and metric and it got too messy. After analyzing our data, we noticed that a majority of our audience is from the USA, hence we made it to be more consistent. It's only natural to speak the language of the majority of your audience. Perhaps we would include both measurements from now on. If measurements are the only thing affecting your trip planning for a country, and not the content and recommendations, I hope you found what you need in other videos.
@@beforeyougotravel That would be amazing to resume also including metric units in future videos. After your polite reply I rewatched the video to the end and found it quite informative with excellent recommendations besides. Keep up the good work, have a nice day!
Haha! Right....in the 90's is was bad. I'm sure it depends what areas. We got warned we were going into the worst part of Costa Rica trying to get to the bus station. Most of Costa Rica is nice though.

Non metric units used to describe a country that uses metric units, . . .
Our audience is mostly Americans :)

You lost me at 'warm and welcoming capital San José'. It is nothing like that.
